I know they are mag sorc killers but would appreciate insights as to how you counter it in no cp bgs.

OP you can use Mutagen, Lingering Health potion(with speed), Surge, a couple of dots and Restraining Prison (gives vitality) and play around the DK long enough to wear him out and let your teammates deal with him. Okay, I'll add something to the topic.
OP, ignoring everything you've read here and switch to a class/spec that requires actual skill to play. By doing so, you will also eliminate the threat this specific DK build has against you.

After a few days on it, I now get a lot more kills, and die only slightly more.. but only vaguely know what I'm doing..Minalan owes me a beer.

✭Infused shieldbreaker bow with oblivion enchant the n back bar for the sorcs. Works amazing! I run it on my stam dk w just 3 jewelry of shieldbreaker. Then I can use asylum front bar. Really having a lot of fun with it. Sorcs just keep shielding as their health dwindles away. In bgs its really strong. I highly recommend shield breaker for stam classes in this sorc meta.3 -
Tonturri✭✭✭✭✭I always keep mines and Surge on my overload bar, then run a lightning staff so I can mines/surge/curse/lightning heavy attack the DK. Resto staff heavy spam + all the other stuff works too - people often forget the small resto heavy heal at the end, and it shold crit enough to give you reasonable healing from Surge. Stand in your mines/streak about, wait until the DK drops wings, then nail with CC + frags. Repeat.
I also keep lightning form on my ovl bar + Meditate/Deep Thoughts, and thinking Deep Thoughts inside your mines with lightning form up (for when the DK gets in close for the crits) after putting up a shield can buy you some time.1 -

Shieldbreaker applies 3.5k oblivion dps, no stamclass would be able to outheal that in non cp and they have better healing than a Magsorc.
Mix in sloads and the additional pressure from skoria and normal skills and you know that, this is an match up you won't win unless your enemy is really really bad.
Best thing you can do is either try to avoid the fight = stupid solution, you'll still die
Or you stack with your group and hope that the dk dies really fast everytime you see him.
But overall you have to keep in mind that it's a fight you can't win6 -

✭as a stamina player (maybe except a stamblade when sloads stop breaking cloak next patch), if you have to face a somewhat decent magDK with sloads and skoria on BGs, your best bet is to run away from him and avoid the 1v1. If he has a minimal understanding of how to play his class, you don't stand a chance. If he doesn't burn you to death in a couple of seconds, he will out-sustain you easily and kill you when you are out of stam, magDK harassment is brutal on nonCP.
In the crazyness of BGs you need to understand that going for the 1v1 is not a good idea, unless you can get a quick kill and move on. Those mDKs builds or tanks in general are a waste of time to 1v1 on BGs, is better just to join your group and blow them up as a team. I learned the hard way that the 1v1 ego has no place on BGs, save that for cyrodrillEdited by ManDraKE on July 24, 2018 6:29PM2 -
