need help deciding between Stam Dk and Mag Dk ONLY PVE

I need help like the title says, i have stam NB and mag Sorc. Stam Nb rotation is too hard me (as I'm not good with rotations) and Mag sorc gets boring (good damage and self heals). Some one told me to play DK. From what i know both stam dk and mag dk are dot based class. i do like being a fire mage but stam does more damage from what i hear.
can someone help me decide between them. i never pvp mostly solo pve or sometimes questing with friends.
what race would recommend for each type?

Yes, high elves have good sustainability and damage. They're the most-used race for magic builds. Breton also has good sustain with the cost-reduction passive, but in my opinion, the extra magicka and elemental damage from high elf passives make it the best all-around magicka race. But if you want to go maximum damage, dark elf is probably the way to go since their passives boost flame damage more, and the DK toolkit is 99% flame damage.
But that's for min-maxing, and honestly you could make a really solid magDK out of a nord. Race doesn't matter as much as most people might try to have you believe. The bulk of your DPS ability is going to come from your gear, and your own skill. The racial passives just push you into the higher competitive numbers.6

Joxer61✭✭✭✭✭This might shed some light. Having played both I prefer the magDK due to playstyle, fire and all that. My problem with stam is that every stam is pretty much the same skills ( except NB ), good luck!

✭✭I'd definitely suggest MagDK. The Pyromancer and fire fire everywhere.
Their rotation isn't particularly hard, you have a ton of damage over time skills whoes up-times line up pretty closely then you whip it to fill the rest of the time. Also without an execute you basically never have to change your rotation just settle in.
The issues are that you have to be careful with your magicka sustain (Although healers with worms helps a lot) and you are short ranged (but so is StamDK)
Stamdks are struggling a lot with the heavy attack damage nerf and the overall call for more range, Magdk is technically melee but they can operate at range if that have to.
There is a whole bunch of build set ups for Magdk and you can pick the one that fits you best.
I seriously switched my gear (BSW, Juli, Skoria to BSW, Sun, Groth ) and had the same dps

Faffox✭Coming from someone who played both mag and stam DK, I'd say mag DK is better. Damage is really good and rotation is enjoyable. My only problem with mag DK is it has horrible sustain, can't really play better without orbs / shards from healer or tank.1

Malkorga✭✭✭I have played a dunmer magDK since launch sometimes switched him to stamina to try it out. I solo PVE and run some pledges and I prefer magDK as it fits my play style.Edited by Malkorga on July 23, 2018 2:06PM1 -
