Proposed fix for guild bank deposits

As everyone should be aware as GM’s we can’t really allow every rank to see bank gold amount as it can lead to issues. With taking away this permission it also takes away from being able to tell if your deposit goes through if you do not have permission. This issue causes even more issues with guildmates paying dues and it not showing in history, then accusing GM’s of trying to get them to put more in and also those ppl having to submit tickets to get gold back. My proposal is have another option under guildbank gold which is gold deposited this week(running from after trader bids on sundays and resettling the following sunday). This way when someone makes a deposit they can see if it goes through and even keep up with how much they have put in each week.

I'm in a large trading guild and am consistently missing raffles because my gold disappears when I deposit it to the guild bank. First off, how is this even possible? And secondly, how is this not fixed yet?

Just let me see if my deposit made it in. It's not that hard.

They should just allow members to only see their OWN gold deposits when they can't see other gold transactions or guild bank gold total.

It's not so much as a bug as it is a "feature." That is why it's not fixed. You know how you get long loading screens? It happens to bank deposits too and if you close out the of UI when it happens the deposit just disappears. I have been careful ever since then and this seems to happen like 25% of the time. the length of this delay varies. The longest i have had to wait was like 25 seconds. So always wait 20-30 secs before canceling the ui and follow up with a 1g deposit to see if the last deposit made it through.

This is exactly the case. I’ve tried telling my members to wait about 20 seconds to back out of bank. Another way you can do it is after you deposit is deposit another 1 gold if you see the “waiting on previous request” pop up you know it didn’t go through. If it doesn’t pop up then it did go through.

The problem is compounded in guilds that hide their gold. Members are required to take it on faith alone that the deposit failed. The trade guilds I belong to in turn take it on faith that I made the deposit when I say it's so. But the whole thing results in distrust and suspicion.

Of course, ZoS considers it a feature that someone can take you node or chest while you are clearing them of mobs, so maybe another intended way to inject animosity. I guess they believe that extreme emotions, even negative, add to the excitement of the game?

Another proposal is an option to hide not only the guild bank gold, but also the items as well.

This seems like such a grindingly obvious thing to have enabled by default that it's utterly incomprehensible why it's not already a thing.

I've accidentally placed items in the guild bank before. I once accidentally placed authorial dust in to the guild bank of a guild I was in, I almost immediately realized it. I then contacted the guild master about and it and the little *** ignored me and refused to respond. I had bank access before but it was removed. found out later this guild was known as a scam, the higher guild officers would give people access to the bank so they would deposit stuff and then remove their access later and keep it for themselves. so having experienced that myself, I would say regardless if you have access to withdraw from the bank or not, if you are allowed to deposit items in guild bank, then you should be allowed to withdraw the item you deposited if you decide to change your mind.
