2 questions really:

bound armaments? if i slot it i get about 180 stam recovery and 3k stam. pretty nice but id also like to run crit surge and everything else up 100% of the time without having to use overload. I could get major savagery or slot vigor front bar.

what weapon do you guys like to run back bar? bow gives major expedition+ great dot for stamsorc and the dual wield has access to 2 weapon glyphs+a nice dot and slow.

im really torn on these options.

heavy or medium? if i ran heavy id have no problem fitting bound armaments in my skillbar but i like medium passives a lot.

You don't need vigor if you are running crit surge.

Always bow back bar. Endless hail will be 20-25% of your DPS.

I am not an expert when it comes to pvp but i run 5 medium pieces and are doing pretty fine. In bg that is, i dont play campaigns.

I run 5 medium 2 heavy. Troll king, bone pirate and seventh legion with two hander and bow. I actually don't run crit surge in BGs one because I am so low on crit and two because I would rather run forward momentum along with vigor and dark deal.

StamSorc is maybe the most flexible stamclass because the few class abilities its using are for the "core toolkit", from there you can pick any combination of weapon skill lines and make it work.

For example i run a PvP build without vigor relying and passive/efficient healing (critsurge/TrollKing/lingering/arteum drink/darkdeal) allowing to run low stam recovery and buff other stats. (Heavy armor). Ofc there is a lower hard limit to your HPS but under than you can outsustain most builds.

There are good stamsorc burst builds that can kite for days in medium and land a good finisher combo
There are good stamsorc pressure build in heavy getting kills without an execute by out-sustaining the opponent
You can play a very mobile bow+2h, an in-your-face s&b+dw, etc ...

For bound armaments i've seen viable :
- Double slotted
- One slotted with/without Atro on the other bar for passive
- Not slotted at all

Try to make a build work for your favorite activity (BG/Cyro/Duel/...) and from there make variants using a build saver add-on.

I am not sure what skills you are going to use. Vigor is the shield for heavy/medium armor builds. Need to up all the time every 6 seconds. So always front bar. Crit surge back bar. If you ask me Sword and board is best in back bar.

Neither bow , nor dual wield. Reason is stam sorc lacks shields and extremely vulnerable to range attacks. Again if you are doing 1vx, this is very important. Second is there is skill called power slam & puncture in S&B. Also there is options to prevent range attacks , so prevent unwanted death screens from range attacks. It gets major defile & major fracture both which is no way stam sorc is going to get without it. Some sets provide defile , but losing a damage set for it ? These debuffs are invaluable in PVP.
Second option is bow, You should have lethal arrow( Major defile) or Focus aim( major fracture) . You can get only one of them. Lack shields unlike warden/DK and prone to range attacks. Bone shields are not effective.
If playing in PVP group , group can provide debuffs and heal you choose other options. Use dual wields.
Again its a suggestion. You are the master of your build and what you are trying to achieve.
