If I buy a house with Gold, can I later buy the furnishing set offered for it in Crown Shop?

For example, the Sleek Creek House is offered Unfurnished for 4,400 Crowns, Furnished for 5,500 Crowns or Unfurnished for 335,000 Gold.

If I buy it for Gold, can I still spend the 1,100 Crowns for the furnishing set later, please?

No, you'd have to buy all that furniture individually from the crown store - it may or may not add up to more than the original 1100 crowns. I'd say it probably will.

I don't think you can buy it furnished if you buy it unfurnished, though it's still a waste of gold and crowns if you could do both. You're better off decorating it your own way.

    Thank you.

    Hmm, that is a pity.

Is that accurate? The additional cost to buy a furnished house, at least in some cases, is small compared to the value of what you get.

The furnished Princely Dawnlight Palace, for example, was an incredible deal if you wanted crown store only items, like the fountains. I think the cost of the fountains all by themselves exceed the 3500 crown cost for the furnished option.

I got all my homes Furnished because there is no way I could buy that much furniture for the difference in price. Besides, I have to have something to start with.

The Alinor Townhouse is the first house I have ever purchased furnished. I usually buy empty houses and slowly, very very slowly, decorate.

Needless to say ..... I have seen the light!!!

In this case, you get so much value for crowns. Definitely worth the investment, in my opinion.

Ive seen furniture bundles in the crown store before. So why cant you add that to your house? I dont eee why you couldnt add to house you bought with gold. It may not be the same furniture as the furnished house you buy with crowns.

Sleek Creek is furnished with Khajiit style items which are extremely cheap in guild stores. Why would you pay 1k crowns for a bunch of items that arent even worth 100k gold?
Edit: according to uesp, this house only contains mundane items, most of them are worth less than 1k. If you want to buy furniture with crowns, I'd suggest buying crown exclusives, such as pergola with flowers etc.

As a furniture master crafter...honestly, the packages are so-so. Zos fills the homes with cheap green and blue junk furnishings. You can see the list on any home at ESO Fashion, I think.

So for me, any medium or smaller home I’d furnish myself. Also because I like to make them unique, and maybe my Nord is just really into ancient orc stuff. But massive crown store homes get some good items.

Yeah, some of the dlc houses are worth buying with crowns because there's a ton of expensive furnishings, paintings and such. Most of base game houses, though, only contain cheap blue and green items.

I have not really done any cross-checking, but some furnishings are crown-store-only (such as books, and gaming dice). How many of those are used in the furnished houses?

Dice can be looted by pickpocketing npcs, and book rows are available in store for like 30 crowns or so.
There are a few truly unique items that are only available by buying houses, such as "dark elf bed of coals" (only comes with some of the Dunmer houses) or Hlaalu building blocks, but they can be obtained by buying houses with gold afaik.
You can check UESP for the list of items you get with each house.

The only house I bought furnished was my Orbservatory Prior, and in hindsight I've very glad that I did, because Clockwork recipes and furniture are hard to come by and then craft.

I don't think you can. But I bought Grimhearth and Mistveil for 200,000+G and 1,020,000G respecively. I crafted my own furnishings for the most part, and bought the few achievememnt ones from vendors for gold.

It might take a little longer, but it's not hard to do.

Mistveil has about 13 set stations, 4 basic stations (prov, enchant etc) and a transmute station. These things aren't so hard to attain without spending irl money. You can use Tamriel Trade Centre webside to find the blueprints and whatnot that you need.
Say NO to Crown Crates. Crown Crates are Loot Boxes. Loot Boxes are gambling. Zenimax makes enough money off us.
ESO+ is part of the "Games as a service" trend. A trend that needs to die. Subscribe only when you need Crowns for DLC.
Say no to "radiant" junk quests replacing proper side content and the dumbing down of our favorite franchises.

You totally can add furniture bundles from the store to gold purchased houses. My answer was sort of confusing - I mean it's not as simple as just paying the difference in crown price to go from unfurnished to furnished or that the exact set from furnished would be purchasable :)

To each his own. If I had millions of gold, I wouldn't balk at buying a million+ house with gold and then decorating it myself via crafting or buying from other players. However, I have about 2M, and don't really like the thought of spending over half my savings on an unfurnished home.

Thus, I've purchased the few large homes I have with Crowns, furnished. You really do get a lot of furnishings for the difference in price between unfurnished and furnished. But then, I've only purchased DLC homes with crowns, and they usually include some expensive and CS only items.

Small and medium homes, however, I have purchased and furnished with gold. And it's been a lot of fun. Also, with the homes I purchased with Crowns, I took a lot of time rearranging things to my liking and adding new furnishings/taking out existing and still coming up with my own design.

Also, it's worth noting that I play on XB, so guild store prices are usually a bit higher.

But, as to the OP's question, they made it clear when Homestead launched that once you purchased a hold with gold, you couldn't then buy the furnished version or buy just the furnishings that came with the furnished version. Only way to buy the furnishings that come with the furnished home is to buy it furnished to begin with, or buy all the individual pieces afterward, which would add up to more than just buying it furnished in the first place.
