Finally making the switch to PC! Which add-ons do you find to be a must?

Been playing ESO on console for 3.5 years. I am giving up my 830 cp+ account with 8 fully maxed out toons that are all geared pretty well because I finally made the decision to move over to pc (should have a long time ago lol).

Which add-ons do y’all who play on pc recommend the most? I for sure plan on getting the lore book and skyshard add-ons, but outside of that I’m clueless.

Inventory grid menu. Think that's what it's called. The inventory system in this game is the worse I've ever seen. Can't live without it.

    Destinations
    Lazy writ thingy
    Skyshards
    Lorebook
    Lost treasure
    Master merchant
    Combat metrics
    Awesome guild store thingy
MailR. Good one for guild mails
Potion maker or whatever it is

The inventory one and combat metrics I leave on. The others I toggle when needed. Those are off the top of my head. Good luck bud.

i have moved over myself. the poster above covered most i use as well.

Some that was not listed and i love using is

Map Pins (i took off lorebooks and skyshards addons to just run this addon) love it because it made the time breeches so much easier to find.

Raidnotifier (once you start getting back into trials)

    LUI
srendarr (if you wanna track your buffs and debuffs)
combat metrics (when your ready to test your dps or just track it anywhere)

And the most important that totally helped me for skill points management.

    Urich Skill Point Finder

Gonna take some time rearranging everything to fit your liking but once your set its such a step up from the console experience.

So I think the best addon for what you originally talked about is called Map Pins. I was late to the party on this one. I gives you tons of toggle options (including the psijic portals), so you can keep your map only as cluttered as it needs to be. It made like 3-4 other addons I was running redundant.

Addons I could not live without:

Combat Metrics - Best tool for analyzing a fight, tracking, and sharing DPS.

Raid Notifier - Most trial guilds require this. Gives heads up to specific trial mechanics.

Srendarr - Most robust and customizable buff tracker in the game. Can get a little cluttered if you dont do a fair amount of messing with the settings.

Action Duration Reminder - Simplest and most elegant buff tracker in the game. Simply puts a timer over your skills.

Alpha Gear - Best Addon IMO to manage gear and bar loadouts, also recharges your weapons which is handy.

pChat - Great addon for managing your chat window. Saves older chats if you log off, and allows things like cut and paste.

Grim Focus Counter - Must have if you play nightblade. Keeps track of your light attacks for Grim Focus.

Master Merchant - Must have if you are in a trade guild and do active trading. Shows prices based on any sales in the guilds you are in.

Awesome Guild Store - Makes guild trader searching much more manageable.

FTC/Dark UI - Both are good for beefing up your interface, health bars, etc. Shouldnt need both.

Inventory insight - Lets you look at inventory on other toons and your bank at any time.

Craftstore - Useful for keeping track of trait research and motif knowledge. You can even peak at other toons without logging over if you find something and arent sure if you need it.

Kill Counter - PVP addon to track KDR and that sort of thing.

Multi Craft - Allows you to craft stacks of potions, etc.

Dolgubons's lazy writ Crafter - Shout out to my boy Dolgubon, I owe all my wealth to him. I can do master writs on 10 toons in 30 minutes with this addon. If I was starting a new account, first thing I am doing is power grinding 5-8 toons so they could start doing dailys.

Writworthy - Another one I was late to the party on. Thanks to my awesome Guild House with all the craft stations, (Shoutout to Anslay and ETU), and this addon, i did almost 4000 writ vouchers in less than 30 minutes. Blew my mind.

I am sure there are a few others, will edit if I can think of them.

It depends entirely on your playstyle and preferences. Personally I don't use any. You probably need to explain a bit about your approach, whether PvE and/or PvP, crafting, trading, hyper-competitive, trials, that sort of thing.

I do everything in ESO. I love DPSing and tanking dungeons. I’ve been in the vMA leaderboards a couple of times. I’ve played my fair share of trials.

I would say that I enjoy pvp a little more though. Everything I do in PvE usually has some ties to what I want to accomplish in Cyrodiil or BGs.

I really just enjoy all aspects of the game. Just looking for good QoL add-ons that the pc community generally recommends for someone who plays a lot of ESO.

The only really necessary one is Master Merchant. The in-game economy on PC only works because of and is entirely centered around Master Merchant. Everything else is about personal preference (improving UI to be more like whatever you want), convenience (revealing unmarked locations etc.), or playing the game for you (e.g. RaidNotifier telling you how to react to a mechanic).
7-day PVP campaign regular 2016-2019, Flawless Conqueror. MagDK/stamplar/stamwarden/mageblade. Requiem, Legend, Knights of Daggerfall. Currently retired from the wars; waiting on performance improvements.

Master Merchant's only good when you're in trade guilds. If you're just wandering around, by yourself, it won't have useful data for you. TTC can give you useful price data without a guild, but it requires an outside executable. There's also some minor distinctions.

Desinations, Skyshards, Lorebooks, and Lost Treasure have all been superseded by Map Pins. I still prefer Destinations, but Map Pins is better maintained.

    Craft Store.
    Action Duration Reminder.
    AUI.
S'rendarr (technically AUI offers the same functionality, but S'rendarr has more options for tweaking how the info is available to you.)

If you use alot of Add-ons, be sure to open up your add-on storage thingy. Double the numbers each time, 64 would go to 128, 128 would go to 256 and so on. And try not to use OUT OF DATE add-ons-causes errors.

None is mandatory but there s ton of great ones, so as useful as the answers may be, some esoui.com browsing is the best way.

I ll highlight 2 of them:

Srendarr. The settings menu are a bit long to understand quite intimidating but it allows you to customize eeeeverything in the UI and combat numbers display it s greatly tjought out addon.

Dressing Room. Lets you swap with one button between pre recorded gear/skill sets it s unvaluable.

If you are using a gamepad, get used to switching for a couple of the things mentioned. The multicraft and guildstore addons need keyboard mode. You can hot key some other things. I have a key for the skill changer and another for the combat metrics report. Those will pop up and can be used with a mouse even without switching out of gp mode.

I use a little keyboard touchpad combo for that stuff. Not trying to brag, but I could probably pull 2k dps with that thing.

Fyi, out of date doesn't always mean you're going to have errors. The out of date is only determined by a value in the addon manifest file. Also, the lua memory usage isn't so much an issue anymore since the introduction of the 64 bit client.

I have a lot of addons by now but will list the would hate to play without thanks to their amazing QoL improvements:

Advanced Filters (sorts out your inventory into tabs so you can quickly zero in on specific items, and looks like it was designed into the game, icons and all)

AI Research Grid (if you craft on multiple characters, or even just on one, it's a super fast way to check who knows which traits and motifs and what they still need to/are currently researching and how long 'til they are done).

Awesome Guild Store (lets you search for specific items without scrolling all over the place)

Craft Autoloot (in conjunction with the ESO Plus crafting bag auto deposit, it just automatically siphons up mats and tosses them in the bag)

Greymind Quick Slot Bar (gives you an on-screen bar of your quick slot items so you can rapidly switch between them)

Lore Books and Sky Shards, as you mentioned.

Research Assistant (may be redundant for me at this point with other addons, specifically FCO Item Saver which is more complex but does help inventory manage; RA color-marks items that you can use for research so you know not to sell them)

Roomba (if you have a guild bank and want to smush together stacks of things in it, this does it at one button press. Be sure to turn off auto dep to craft bag first though, or you may steal all the mats).

Votan's Keybinder (lets you set your keybindings once and have all your characters automatically use those)

Votan's Minimap (takes a square of the world map around you and puts it on screen so you can track your facing and route. Super useful for not getting turned around especially since the map 180's you while you are in it so you tend to run off the wrong way, but does interfere with immersion as you start looking more at the map than the buildings around you)

Wykkyd's Toolbar (No updates in almost a year now, I'm worried this thing is a goner, but it gives you a scaleable bar on your screen showing all sorts of handy info like your level, gold, horse feed timer, research timer, fps, ping, all completely configurable as to what you want to see. It can interfere with reading compass quest text, so I used Azurah mod to haul my compass down half an inch)

Also fun: Cowl (a simple toggle to hide/unhide your helm), Crafting Stations (marks them on your map with mouseover tooltips as to what sets they make), various furniture grouping tools for aid in house decor.

    A couple I haven't seen mentioned:

FCO StarveStop -- tells you when your food buff expires
    and
Pet Dead Alert -- my clannfear sometimes kicks the bucket when I'm stuck a respawn-length behind someone doing the mob farm, so this has been indispensable

    My favorites from the above:

Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter, along with Potion Maker and Daily Provisioning -- I don't really care about the auto-crafting, but I've always hated dealing with accepting the quests at the beginning, accepting the rewards, then opening the coffers and the boxes within the coffers when turning in the quests. The auto-open and auto-accept functions are a godsend.

Awesome Guild Store -- can't live without it. The guild store system is a blight, but having portable searches when going from vendor to vendor makes shopping almost bearable. Selling's a lot easier too.

Lore Books, Lost Treasure, Skyshards, MiniMap by Fyrakin-- indispensable. One of the things that made me quit ESO a year ago when I first tried it was getting lost all the time. All of the above keep me from running in circles, and actually be able to find and complete things.

I have a lot of addons by now but will list the would hate to play without thanks to their amazing QoL improvements:

Wykkyd's Toolbar (No updates in almost a year now, I'm worried this thing is a goner, but it gives you a scaleable bar on your screen showing all sorts of handy info like your level, gold, horse feed timer, research timer, fps, ping, all completely configurable as to what you want to see. It can interfere with reading compass quest text, so I used Azurah mod to haul my compass down half an inch).
