So, you mean, give the PvE playery a way to go into PvP zones without having to PvP?
    Yeah, right.
As soon as they give PvPlayers a way to go into PvE zones and PvP you there. Which would su... uhm... not be a good idea.

You either go in there knowing what awaits you, or you do without those quests, those skyshards, etc.

Yeah, yeah, I know, it is annoying to get ganked while you just do the PvE quests in cyrodil.
Comes with the territory, quite literally.
Stop worrying, accept it and work around it.
Pick campaigns where your alliance controls the map. Quest during slow times. Sneak a lot.
And most of all... if ganked, leave that area be and quest elsewhere for today. Don't expect to do all the cyrodil stuff in one go, but bits and pieces, picking up whenever the gankmasters have gotten bored looking for people to gank and gone take a break or something.

And yes, I done just that. And I know exactly how annoying it can be. But that's the price you pay, just like PvPlayers have to pay a PvE price they don't like if they want those undaunted skills...

    No.

This would enable easy spying - it’s already rife no thanks.

how would this enable easy spying when the only pve area in pvp is imperial city?

    Huh?

How about all 3 towns, the multiple small villages, and every keep/resource that is loaded with NPCs?

cyrodil is the prime pvp zone its not a pve zone. your pve zone in cyrodil is imperial city everything outside of that is purely pvp. the only one that you can make use of passive mode would be ic because thats the only real pve zone in cyrodil.

It’s obvious that you don’t go to Cyrodiil very often so let me elaborate. Do you know what many solo end game players do in Cyrodiil when they want to help with the campaign? They solo resources. It’s literally PVE.

You simply have an opinion. If you want to finish the IC story just craft a bunch of invisibility potions.

Also, here is just one of many ways you can exploit the IC. Farm Telvar uninterrupted, trade Telvar for ingredient satchels, sell ingredients. You could have hundreds of Columbine in just an hour or two if you didn’t need to worry about gankers.

There are THOUSANDS of other ways to cheese the system in the IC if a passive mode was implemented. At the end of the day you just gotta learn to play better.

cyrodil isnt a pve zone its pvp the resources you take as a pvp advantage making it pvp not pve(as the npcs just die like tissue paper anyhow) plus there are no bosses no pve objective so on and so forth. ic that would be the whole point which doesnt make telvar farming an exploit at all(as people sell telvar anyhow regardless of if this became a thing) and invis pots yea dont help at all when you have to kill something......right. but i go into pvp quite alot but i actually pvp going towards chalman or nikel to get roebeck and running into red and yellow walls. i go to ic with my guild to roll telvar runs alot as well and the only real pve area in there is imperial city.

Sounds like I misunderstood you. It seems your PvP issue is player versus punctuation. My bad.

Anyway, tissue paper? When was the last time you soloed a level 5 resource? There are also many PVE objectives in the towns and from the undaunted quest giver. There are also delves.

Also are you on XBox by chance? If so now I get it. The IC has been locked down by blue for weeks. Of course it feels like PvE down there.

Passive mode in existing campaigns? Bad idea, for the reasons already outlined by others.

Passive-only campaigns (equivalent to just another overland PvE zone)? Not a bad idea, so that PvE players would never have to worry about PvP to get their achievements.

Can I get something in Cyrodiil to level undaunted?

I'm surprised no-one has said "Just do the PvP and stop being such a wimp if you want the materials and achievements."

The community seems to be growing up?

If it makes you feel better, that’s still what I was thinking.

pc. also ive taken them on plenty of times alone as the npcs hit like their attacks are marshmellows. really the thing is you can litterally allow passive mode no problem at all without even affect pvp in the slightest.

Due to the fact that there is pve content in a pvp zone, would it be possible to create a passive mode like GTA did? Where you are unable to hurt other players and they are unable to hurt you? I really want to do the quests in cyrodil, but every time I'm there I get snuck upon and killed and have to spend FOREVER running back to my quest. I eventually gave up.

So there is a 3 way war going on in this zone and you want enemy realm players to be un attackable? That kinda defeats the whole purpose of the zone.

I enjoy my PVE to but when you have to watch your back from enemy players it makes it much more exciting.

Some helpful tips would be to use sneak and look at the war map and see where the hot spots are and what alliance is invading what alliance and avoid those areas at that time. Also if you do die, you can port back to a keep you own, this can cover great distances. Upgrade your horse riding speed every day and you can get around fast.

No, because it would be abused. (Even if there was a cooldown on turning it off/on)

if they tied it purely to ic it would be abuseable cause theres nothing in there you can actually abuse

@DuskMarine If they tied to to Imperial City , you'd have people capping flags and then swapping to Passive when a group came along to kill them, and just waiting for them to leave.

I guess I can maybe agree with the idea if there is an exceptionally long cooldown on it such as 24 hours

Nights Silence armor and/or vampire is great. Use a mount, dismount like 20 yrds from destinatio and sneak the rest of the way. I did it on a StamDK who is as stealthy as a dump truck.

nah instead if you cap something make it like a passive debuff where you get stuck in pvp mode for 30 mins as kindve a transgression type deal.
