The MMR system is not working out in its current iteration

I am a relatively casual BG player. I queue solo nearly exclusively. That's a situation I'm sure the vast majority of players find themselves in. Yet somehow whenever I'm queueing for some late night flag games I wait 8 and a half minutes to wind up facing the same 3-4 person premade team. EVERY. TIME. It stopped being fun, but I still have 9 more relics to capture just for the Pit Daemon green dye, nevermind the other achievements I still have to swing in that match type. But why are we even in this situation to begin with? Assuming that everyone queueing for a BG is doing so again relatively quickly after the completion of their most recent match, why am I waiting 8 and a half minutes to get into a match? Is my MMR just THAT high where the algorithm thinks my only worthy opponents are a 3-4 person premade? Something tells me that's not the case, yet here I am having to play my most unorthodox games of sneakadoodle-relic and chaos-roll-dodgeball to eek out some increments on my achievement counters.

For real, if you have a 3-4 person premade and everyone else is pugs, DON'T make the match. Just hand them the win and get the solo queuers a shot at something more balanced. Even if my MMR were that high I'm not going to magically bring up the quality of my no-comms pug team to that level of competition. Take another look at it please, I don't like it. And if it's just the fact that we don't have enough people playing battlegrounds... well that's a different fix, but also something I think you can work on.

    1. Late night games are typically less populated so that'll be affecting you - Also, not sure if you meant specifics with "flag games" but if you're queuing for flag games only, that's another filter to your already dwindled late-night player base.
    2. With the MMR system in place, balancing premades out to a single group MMR - It's possible that original suggestions about how MMR works, are taking effect on you. If they get 1200 MMR as a group and you're 1000 MMR - It's possible that every 5 minutes without a game the search bracket widens. You go from looking for 900-1100MMR games for 0-5 mins to 800-1200 MMR 5-10mins, bang, match.

    Truth is, we'll never know.
But premades with a single higher MMR shouldn't ever be against pugs, no.

Obviously my numbers are fictional as I don't know but you get the gist.

Also, some premades are absolutely poo.
