Dungeons seemingly scale incorrectly IF you enter as a premade group by porting in

I'm not sure what it's scaling to (something off leader's cp?) but IF you are already in a group and directly port into a dungeon with it set as vet, it seems to be scaling enemy resistance higher than if you were placed into the dungeon using the group finder queue. I seem to remember that used to be the way it worked backed in the day, then they eventually changed it as a low level lead allowed you to burn it fast. However, even last year I remember this being an issue where all of a sudden resistance seemed to increase, and remember FGII specifically when it was bugged and you couldn't even burn the adds down that chain your limbs fast enough as their resistance was too high.

Being dps and running same gear for awhile, you can tell how quickly mobs/bosses burn or don't burn (like the difference between normal and vet mobs, etc.) i.e. what's normal and what's different from buffs of the group, etc.. And with the aforementioned FGII bug from about 1-2 years ago where the resistance was abnormally high, it was clear fighting anything what was going on.

And to be clear, not saying "oh I wiped and want an excuse" it's enemy resistance seemingly going higher than intended and spending an hour fighting an easy vet dungeon because you ported in directly vs. group finder scaling where you burn it in 20 minutes or whatever.

    It used to cue on the lowest party member, only if that player was the party leader. Not sure if that will fix it for you, but give that a try and see if it changes.

    Pretty sure mob resistances is still the same ;)

    What are you experiencing is lack of weapon damage buff every group gets upon activity finder use. Dont remember the exact value, but you can notice it on character sheet.

    I'll have to look closer to see if it's adding a buff from DF and see if that's being applied when entering otherwise. Also forgetting to check if their actual health is getting buffed or not as that can make it harder to burn quickly.

    @SodanTok IF it's actually bugged, resistances or health can go up or it's erroneously scaling something. The adds that tether you in FGII were a prime example of this happening before. Was roughly like they had 750k health each and it was basically impossible to burn them before the tethered player was killed and he'd spawn them again before the downed player was rezed IIRC, which made it impossible to get past the minor boss. That was with experienced guild members at the time.

    Game can definitely bug certain aspects of pledge dungeons, and it's definitely changing something if you go grouped w/o dungeon finder assistance, though 2 very strong dps might not notice it immediately unless they are farming the hell out of it and switch to non DF entering or they are on a harder dungeon.

    FWIW, I've never seen a mention of a buff from dungeon finder (buffs from other players yes, but not DF). Any idea what it is called so I can see if it's being applied and not some random buff from another player?

    As someone that does dungeons often through queue and through porting I have never noticed anything different on mobs. Im almost positively sure that there should be anything affecting mobs (but yes weirder things happen here).

    As for buff, I dont think there is any buff in the character sheet. I am not even sure if its intended or how it happens I just know I have usually way more weapon damage when queuing than when not.

    Try queuing FGII, run it, then try it again with direct porting.


    IF you are noticing a damage bump from the group finder but not otherwise, that suggests something is off and would support what I'm saying.


    Can we please get a confirmation on if it's normal or not?
