A funny thing happened on the way to finish the Sunhold quest...

There I was: had defeated all the bosses, burned all the supplies and freed all the prisoners. Was on my way to talk to the High Kinlady up the back of Sunhold.
Entered an open area with a fountain and a few urns.
"Ooh, urns!" I thought. There were no NPC enemies in the area - I think another player was just ahead of me.
My character started looting the first urn.
From the stairs ahead, I saw what I can only presume was a light attack from a lightning staff.
My character immediately died .
Now, I didn't get a screen cap of it, but the death recap was like one from Cyrodiil. I apparently got killed by 5 attacks from a player. In a PVE area.
I have never and never intend to duel, so that wasn't it.
And, I then couldn't respawn - had to quit the game and restart.
My first thought was that I'd somehow unwittingly entered the Wizards' Arena for which there are achievements - but my guildies said that's located in Artaeum. Not Sunhold.
Second thought was maybe it was a Gamemaster... but surely not. That's just a myth on console.
But WTAF...? PVP in a PVE area??

✭There are lightning attacks from the enemies there in that dungeon, especially the atronachs and bosses.
There is no non-consensual pvp there.
You need pics or you're just misinterpreting something else.

Do NPC enemies have a colour and a ranking next to each attack? This was an apparent AD, Cyro ranking 19. Besides which, as I said, there were no NPC enemies about because presumably the player ahead - who may or may not have been who killed me - had taken care of them before I got to that location. Nor is it possible for any regular trash mob to pretty much one-shot you. A public dungeon boss, maybe. A world boss, definitely. But not a trash mob.
