Is it worth trying to get a deleted character back?

I recently deleted my stam blade. He was a redguard, level 50, etc....

I wasn't getting the hang of that character's play style. Usually when I have trouble understanding a character, I will delete them and start over, but that is usually in the early stages of leveling.

I created another redguard, same name (after deleting the stam blade) this time wanting to do a stam DK. but I have to DKs and i kind of dont want this toon anymore.

But now I regret deleting my stam blade. If i delete the stam DK of the same name (i know this would further hinder getting my deleted character back) would it be worth it to recover the character, or try at least. Or should I just let it go and start new.

I know I kind of jumped the gun here and shot myself in the foot. But i have seen other people talk about requesting previously deleted toons.

Well, if you used the slot you freed up for the new character you rolled, I doubt you can get the character undeleted.

If you still have open slots, it increases your chances to get it back. As long not too much time has elapsed. Then again, if you have open slots, why are you deleting characters?

No harm in putting in a ticket. Explain what happened, ask if there's anything they can do, and phrase everything with politeness and respect. Don't expect to hear back with any urgency and don't chase it up with multiple tickets. That would be my way of dealing with it.

Yes, it is very possible. I restored two characters last week. There is a section in the support, type in name/platform along with some other info and you should get it back in a couple of days. Don't make another with the same name though.

It was just a bad decision. I was frustrated with the build and wanted to start over as a new nightblade, possibly a magicka based one. I made the decision to delete the character without much thought, then created a stam dk instead and immediately regretted my decision to delete my stam blade.

I asked support about getting a character back that was deleted less than a day prior about a month ago. I was told something like my character's soul could not be retrieved from Cold Harbor, or something similar to that.

Anyway their answer to me was no.

I think my answer may be the same, as I created a new toon with the same name after I deleted him. I am sure if I delete this new guy, it may cause trouble recovering my stam blade since they both have the same name.

Worth a try but I think you might end up with the second version restored. No harm in asking though

I wouldn't touch the replacement character with the same name. Just explain in the ticket that you want that character deleted and the original reinstated in his place.
