LFG returning you to the group you just left

Please can we add a check for this?

Having ended up in groups where people were both not capable of completing the dungeon and seemed to completely ignore any efforts to share tactics etc. it feels like a kick in the teeth to be sent straight back for a second 15 minute cooldown.

Yeah, I've had this happen. I don't even know anymore. That said, I've only seen it once in four years.

EDIT, I also randomed into a dungeon with a Streamer I was watching at the time. Well, they were rolling Random Norm, I was farming Direfrost.

I find that if you queue as a tank for a non-pledge dungeon it happens a lot.

It does seem pretty obvious that waiting a few minutes to queue up is likely to have a big impact on preventing getting put with the same group.

It could be complicated to implement a tag system that also does not cause other issues and it is pretty simple to just wait a short period of time.

It is happening even after the original 15 minutes are up though. Tanks are scarce enough for dungeons that aren't daily pledges that you end up in a horrible cycle.

Additionally, waiting longer after already getting hit by a 15 minute cooldown has the same effect, penalising you more than the standard, hitting in particular those queueing in the least popular role.

Would be nice if you couldn’t group with people on your blacklist too. Don’t mind if I have to wait longer, but that’s how basic social tools should work.

Yeah, apparently bad tank = tank get kicked, bad dd = half the time tank have to suck up. The system makes tank so underprivileged.

I've had it has a healer for some vet dlc dungeons. People not capable of doing it on normal running in.

Had one guy coming into dungeon, he saw it was an vet dlc and asked to be kicked, we did and he entered one minute later again so no cool down for him, kick again and we got somebody else.

And ending up in an stream in an 4 man group, how low is the chance of that? I would have freaked a bit.
Now in Cyrodil its way more likely

Yeah, I don't even know. I knew he was in queue for a random normal, and I know how short the tank queues are, but, that was still kinda nuts. When I saw the direfrost loading screen pop up on his stream I had a suspicion. Still, it was a pretty hilarious coincidence.

There must be some edge case the code is not taking into account, because there is a recurring pattern:
    • Someone gets kicked before 15 minutes have passed.
    • This someone is able to queue again (violating the 15 minutes wait time).
    • This someone joins again the same group.

This happens quite often, in fact.

The guy who asked to be kicked in the vet dlc did not get an cooldown, this makes sense, he was kicked before he did anything so unfair that he got cooldown.

Now if you stay in over 15 minutes then leave/ kicked you do have an chance of getting selected again if you queue again and group ask for player, i tend to wait a few minutes before queuing again if leaving hopeless groups.

Sadly, things are often painful enough that instead of the 15 minute timer giving me an incentive to stick it out and hope things improve, I find I'd rather farm materials for 15 minutes then queue again.

If I've already tried to keep going with a group for more than 15 minutes and then get sent right back I'm unlikely to suddenly make a different choice. Being forced to wait in the hopes that someone else gets pulled into that group in your place is largely the same thing, and can be unreliable if tanking non-pledge dungeons as tanks are often few and far between. In the worst cases I have tried leaving 5-10 minutes and then still been sent right back, meaning I have lost the 5-10 minute wait time and then a new 15 minutes.

happened to me many times. joined a group, instance full, couldn't teleport, got kicked, sometimes no cooldown, so I queued immediately, joined the same group, still instance full, kicked again.
