The Soul Magic Skill Line Needs Help

This skill line is so cool, yet is seemingly ignored and offers very little to players. Lots of folks want some form of Necromancy or soul manipulation in the game, but having an entire class dedicated to it is a bit much. We already have a half-baked skill line that could use some fine-tuning and some more abilities/passives to make it a more fleshed out skill line worthy of being invested into!
1. Increase the maximum rank of Soul Magic to 10.

This would of course require players to have their rank retroactively adjusted based on their level of completion of the main story line. There's enough quests to give a total of 10 ranks - if you skip giving a rank on the incredibly short "Council of the Five Companions" quest. It is infuriating that the skill line stops at 6 and worse yet, the bar isn't even FILLED IN. Unacceptable.
2. Increase base damage of Soul Trap from [1552] to [3550] Magic Damage.

This increase would cause Soul Trap's tooltip to be similar to Swarm's damage output. Both existing morph effects are fine - it was the damage that needed tuning.
3. Retool the passive "Soul Shatter" to instead read: "Daedra you kill have a 5% chance to erupt in Soulfire, dealing 8000 Magic Damage to nearby enemies."

This passive was specifically worded to not have an effect on PvP. It basically gives players a small chance to have a mini Vicious Death effect. It's nothing life-shattering, but it adds a fun effect that players can enjoy while hunting daedra. There is no cooldown anymore since the effect is tied to a low proc chance.
4. Add a new ability called "Soul Grip", a CC utility.
Soul Grip
Reach out and grasp a target's soul, dealing [800] Magic Damage and immobilizing them for 3 seconds. After the immobilization ends, the target takes [3000] Magic Damage over 10 seconds.
Morph 1: Soul Lash: Increases the damage over time effect's base damage to [3300].
Morph 2: Soul Anchor: The target also has their movement speed reduced by 30% for 4 seconds after the immobilization ends.
I gave the Soul Magic skill line a CC utility that wouldn't be exclusive to any one class. The first morph gives a DPS option that features a DoT that is slightly weaker than the NB's cripple. The second morph is aimed more at PvP.
5. Add a new passive "Soul Charge" that reads: "Increases your Magicka and Stamina recovery by 10% if a Soul Magic ability is slotted."

With the new ability and an improved Soul Trap, this passive adds an extra incentive to invest in using the Soul Magic skill line. Pretty simple conditional buff and it's not any larger than what other skill lines can provide.

Its a bad skill line with a niche ultimate. Soul assault can either be the hardest hitting ultimate in pvp with medium armor role shuffle dodgers losing their mind over it or im literally tickling my someone wearing a shield or heavy armor or blocking.

Ive never even tried the other skills bcz their tooltips are soo unappealing.
