So completely not serious question about crafting writs and the WAR

So when crafting writs first came around it seemed you were making goods for the allinace war, you know doing your part. Then along came One Tamriel and you could turn stuff in anywhere, but if its still going to the war effort does turning in out of alliance make you a traitor? Like ALL DC and EP that use sumersets crafting area and turn in are treasonous traitors!!

And if that was all for the war effort can i get back pay on all the AP I should have earned for you know helping.....that might help get the legate black that is years away........j/k
Ummm stuff… about stuff…or something.

Regardless of turn-in location, all your hard work still goes to the Orsinium Civic Renewal and Vengeance Committee.
7-day PVP campaign regular 2016-2019, Flawless Conqueror. MagDK/stamplar/stamwarden/mageblade. Requiem, Legend, Knights of Daggerfall. Currently retired from the wars; waiting on performance improvements.

With Orsinium, some of the crafted goods were going to help with rebuilding the city in Wrothgar, iirc.

There was a time when they were all turned in at Craglorn. So that's, what, DC? Makes no difference to me, as long as I get gold mats and surveys.

For the other Alliances, I hand-wave it that I'm meeting with the Queen's spies at the turn-in point and they're taking it back to Dominion territory.

I genuinely have no recollection of this lore behind writs.

Doing it so many times, robotically, over and over for all this time sometimes I'll complete a couple characters' worth and not even consciously realize it.

Why can't there be a place where you get the writs, pass all crafting stations in the least space necessary, turn them in at the end, then end with the Shadowy Supplier, rather than run all around Belkarth.

I won't do them in Summerset since the WS and Shadowy Supplier add a very, very significant amount of time to completing these daily chores compared to Belkarth. I have 15 shadowy suppliers per day, but I don't do 15 characters worth of writs per day. I'd have to quit my job to have the time. CHORES. It's lucrative but basically cuts into my enjoyment of the game rather than enhancing it somehow. And they just will not put Wayshrines in sensible places to make these chores at least somewhat ergonomic. Which is odd since the lore about Wayshrines mentions them being placed where a community thinks they'd be most useful. Just not the player community, whose desires for reducing the time and fuss in performing these daily grinds must be resisted at all cost so that... ?

If it makes you feel any better, you can always RP it as you purposely turned in inferior workmanship, or slipped a little poison/snare into that "Potion of Health."
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

I've actually been bugged about this for a while now making writs.

The writs before the max ones say "a trade guild moving goods across Tamriel", and the jewelrycrafting ones say something similar, even the max level ones.
But the max levels for all the other crafts say "the Orsinium Vengeance and Renewal comittee" etc. from when they were turned in at Wrothgar.

Ideally, the team would streamline the quest dialogue to match the fact that we can now turn in the writs whereever we choose, so they should stick with the "trade guild moving goods across Tamriel" dialogue for all the writ texts and just skip the Orsinium comittee.

Small annoyance, but it should only take a moment to fix anyway.

I purposely leave flaws in the Armor I turn into DC and AD so it falls apart in battle.
