Skill Point Struggle on first character, need help.

So I have my first character to cp160+ now and I'm behind on Skill points by a lot. I've done the main quest and random quests leveling. I have ran a lot of the Dungeons as well. Besides Skyshards is there a guide or something easy to find where they come from?

Skill points come from Main 'Alliance' quests as well... you can do all three Alliance quests for skillpoints. Otherwise Skyshards are the only other way to go- visit every zone and collect skyshards both in open world and within delves... including Cyrodiil.

Did you do the main quest/Fighters/Mages Guild?

Also, each public dungeon in the game has a "Group Challenge" that gives a skill point the first time you complete it. Check your achievements and get the ones you are missing.

I just got ESO+ the other day. I haven't ventured into any of the zones yet. DO they have quest lines that give SP too?

i'll have to look up the "main alliance" quests or is it in journal as well? I know I have only done DC for sure.

Have you done Cadwell's silver and gold? They'll get you all the skill points from the other alliances' main quests. The dlc's all reward them as well. Other than that you'll have to spend days collecting skyshards.

this page shows many of the Quests that reward skill points. Click on the quests (usually it's the last quest) and view "Rewards"

If you're on PC, install Urich's Skill Point Finder - you'll immediately see where you've got points left to pick up.

If you're on PC Urich's skill point finder is a good add on for this.

If you have finished the main quest you should have Caldwell's silver already. I believe that will cover all of the main alliance skill points if you finish silver and gold. You can check your progress in Caldwell's almanac in your quest journel.

    Each DLC will have some.

Cyrodiil has a couple really quick ones just for doing the intro quests.

Public dungeons as mentioned make sure you complete the group challenge and group dungeons the first time, take the quest.

You'll get one from normal maelstrom arena, it's not too bad.

Veteran dungeons and vMA I believe also have skill points as well, but everything mentioned prior should be a little bit easier.

    - You can get over a dozen skill points from each dungeon's quest.
Run on Normal to get credit; no need to run Veteran.

    - Complete your faction's main storyline.
Each of the 5 zones has at least 3 quests that will grant a skill point.

    - Collect the 46 skyshards in Cyrodiil.
That's 15 skill points for free as early as Level 10 just by running around the map.

    - Play some PvP in a group or solo in Cyrodiil.
The first 7 ranks or so are fast to level up and each rank grants a skill point, all the way to Rank 50.

    - Complete the Mage's Guild questline.
There's a one-time option in the final quest to earn 2 skill points. Take it.

These things right here will give you plenty to do. When you get bored of them or finish them up, start working on the other 2 factions' questlines and skyshards. Each faction is worth approximately 45 skill points when completely finished. To conserve skill points early on, don't invest in crafting perks until you are much further along in the game. The crafting perks alone eat up over 150 skill points - that's an endgame commitment you can slowly work on while leveling the crafting skills. Prioritize combat skills you need and passives that improve your stats or damage to squeeze the most value out of your limited skill points early on.

Step 1, Download skyshard addon (or Map Pins is actually better).

Step 2, queue up something good on netflix and make sure the kids are in bed.

Step 3, consume copious amounts of caffeine.

Step 4, Grind skyshards in all 15 alliance zones, and do the public dungeon group challenge in each.

Step 5, if you are really desperate, do the cadwells silver and gold quests.

That should be enough for most things. Other sources include dungeon quests, mages/fighter guild, cyrodiil levels, and the DLC zones.
