cleanse should provide a few seconds of immunity

title, does not even have to be a lot, maybe 2-3 seconds, but it would make a world of difference for healers and the overall cost/benefit to actually cleanse effects and grant you a brief actual respite instead of the current issue of just having everything replied instantly.

    How to erase Dks out of PvP in one simple change. Hell, even if not for the Dks, you're talking about immunity to everything that applies an effect on you. That would be beyond reasoning. On a game with cooldowns this would work, but not in ESO.

    um, cleanse already does this. and as someone who plays a DK in pvp (both stam and magicka) you don't make use of dots anyway.

    not hiding behind a class the real threats are
    -bleeds
    -defile
    -proc sets (sloads is obvious but things like sheer venom, viper, etc. have begun to make a comeback)

    the problem with (and why I have no sympathy for the defense of a lot of effects) is there simply secondary effects of already good skills that are spammed anyway.

    it would be different if the user were spending resources specifically to apply a dot that did almost no initial damage but actually did good damage over time (there are only a couple of skills that actually do this and they are avoided in pvp)

    but there not, there usually just added effects of already good skills that in themselves usually stack way to many effects into one skill.

    if you look at skills rending slashes that deals okay initial damage, AND applies a bleed, AND applies a snare, AND like you said has no cooldown, and costs very little to use, to something like purge, the only cleanse available to all classes, and costs magicka builds over 7k before morphs to cast. . .yeah.

    or lets look at another problem child, incapacitating strike: cheapest ult in the game, deals a colossal amount of single target damage, stuns, increases damage dealt against the target, and applies major defile.

    skills, are just BLOATED with a colossal amount of bonuse effects and like you said have no cooldown, there is a reason we have CC immunity, there is a reason why things that grant snare or immobalize immunity require it granting the effect for a few seconds to be worth anything, because like you said, no cooldowns, it should not be that crazy of an idea to provide a second or two of negative effect immunity with a cleanse to make it actually feel like it did something.

    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    It'd be nice on the retribution morph of templar's purge. 2 effects + dot is kinda small. 2 effects and 2s immunity to whatever is purged + dot seems doable. Still expensive though

    You cannot spam Cleanse. Trust me...once Sloads hit Cyrodil and my team started suffering for it, I leveled it and slotted it, and spammed the hell out of it. It did not create an appreciable difference and only succeeded in sucking my resources dry. Right now, with its cost and the way it's set up, it's not a terribly functional skill. I'll still grudgingly slot it if the battlefield is unusually full of cheap-shot Sloaders, but Ritual is a far more useful skill in terms of multi-function utility vs cost.
