Would you be in favor of ZOS shutting down Cyrodill to make bigger and better BG's?

Maybe but it depends on the battle grounds we are given!
    NO!

I far prefer Cyrodiil's large scale, objective based, tactical and strategic combat to Battlegrounds, even if you expand it to larger teams.

I actually prefer large scale as well but lately Cyrodiil just does not feel the same. It is a huge zone that depends on a lot of people actively playing in it or else it becomes stale and boring. With all the constant crashes and what not it is not as active as it once was.

I personally would like to see big and exciting changes to Cyrodiil but if ZOS is going to mostly ignore Cyrodiil then I would rather them shut it down and give us bigger and better battlegrounds.

They can then turn Cyrodiil into a pvp free for all zone or not because that might be a very bad idea :).

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    PvE cyrodiil please :)

It’s always funny when PVE players ask for PVE Cyrodiil. If you’d actually been in there, you’d know that Cyrodiil is a big zone, and the vast majority of land in Cyrodiil is empty. Basically, there are some mobs sprinkled here and there, a few quests and dolmens, and that’s really about it, unless you think that copy-pasted delves are fascinating.

How about we stop trying to make things even worse for the people that do still enjoy pvp?

I don't understand why they would need to shut down Cyrodiil for battlegrounds to be better.
Cyrodiil has problems in which there are things that need to be fixed like crashes, DCs, lag, etc. They need to fix that, sure. But they don't need to get rid of Cyrodiil for BGs.

Plus, Cyrodiil and BGs are not entirely comparable just because they're both PvP. Different things need to be done in both. Different gear, different builds, etc. Taking down one or the other would be pointless.

I think we all know just how big of a mess Cyrodiil has been since Summerset (and even long before that) and because of this I have decided to start doing some BGs. I will be completely honest... I have really enjoyed the BGs. BG queues are really really fast, the longest I had to wait was maybe 2 minutes. The action is fast and there is no sitting around waiting for something to happen or having to ride your mount for 10 minutes just to see some action. Plus the chat is not toxic like Cyrodill chat and hardly anyone teabags. It does not matter if you are a good player or a bad player you can still have a lot of fun in the Battlegrounds. I also saw players that were pretty much unkillable in Cyro dieing in the BGs so to me battlegrounds seem a little more balanced. The only down side for me is I would like some bigger battlegrounds like 8v8v8 , 12v12v12 or 16v16v16.

So onto the poll question - Would you be in favor of ZOS shutting down Cyrodill to make bigger and better BG's?

No. While the performance is *terrible*, Cyrodiil is one of the main selling point of the game.

No. While the performance is *terrible*, Cyrodiil is one of the main selling point of the game.

So what happens when people stop going to Cyrodiil? The zone is meant for large scale battles and it was that in the beginning but slowly over time the zone is becoming more and more empty. The latest bugs and freezes that hit consoles had a huge impact on the Cyrodiil population and those of us who stuck it out are now faced with an almost empty zone..... which leads to boredom and frustration. This is on Xbox EU Vivec so maybe other platforms still have a healthy population in Cyrodiil.

So that leads me to this poll...
If ZOS is not going to put major resources into fixing and improving Cyrodiil (Keep recall tokens are not enough) and players just stop going to Cyrodiil.... would you be in favor of ZOS creating bigger and better battlegrounds and then just give up on Cyrodiil altogether.

Lets face it.. Cyrodiil needs a lot of tender loving care right now and it needs some new life breathed into it fast!!

PS. On Xbox EU prime time it is very rare to have more than 2 bars on every faction and non prime time we are extremely lucky to have one bar.

Just lower population in vivec slightly and make shor another month long campaign.

Have both campaigns tie into one score for end of the month rewards and amplify the rewards received. (Motifs/alchemy packs/siege packs/gold items sold on weekly vendor)
These rewards will be given to the top 60 score contributing players which also means you don’t need to worry about another faction player coming to your faction and getting tier 3 because they know you will win.

By having both maps provide scoring and each have their own battles
If ep is dominating on one campaign and losing on the other they may have to communicate with other ep guilds and q over to help.

Should work in spreading player population and decreasing lag.

Increase siege damage to groups or clusters of players over 12 in size. Make it work much like prox det and discourage faction stacking especially with how hard they hit now.

Spread out to different sides of keeps or completely different areas altogether

There is no such thing as an "unkillable". Only those who lack the build, knowledge or skill to bring them down. CP is fine. The problem is people thinking there is a "one size fits all" method of playing and that they should be able to 1v1 every single player. No matter how big and bad someone is, there is always someone who can kick their butt, CP or no CP. Every build has a weakness.

I've played BGs, and I can tell you, it's WAY easier to kill people in there than it is in Cyrodil, which makes Cyrodil the more interesting choice for me, given that I enjoy a challenge more than the allure of an easy kill. CP just makes the game more interesting and less "sight>clickety-click-click>pat self on back".
