Looting urns like a pro.

So the hunt for Nocturnal in the Crystal Tower was cool and all but can we take moment to just appreciate the AGONY of looting all those urns, when NPC numbnuts 1 & 2 keep sticking their fat heads in front of everything. And the completionist in me compells me to loot every. Single. Urn. And crate and barrel. And bookcase for that matter. OH MY GOD NO, Darrien, I don't want to talk to you for the 56th time, I just want to look in this vase! WOW that is annoying.
There. I just had to share. Somebody must feel my pain. Sload imbalance has nothing on NPC's standing in front of your crate. This must be solved.

Yup... right there with you.

Wish we could go back after completing the questline and loot with out the npcs.

Oh my god, yes. Why can't he stay behind me a bit or go further in front? If someone did this in real life I'd kick them in the shins :P

I did it on my Warden. So I also had Fat*** The Bear joining in on the 'fun'.

Yes, every urn and bookcase. I did that too. I could have completed the quests in half the time if I hadn't.

I agree this should be fixed and not just for that encounter. There are tons of NPCs in the game that follow you like a lost puppy and invade your personal bubble every time you stop to loot anything, even looting dead enemies is a chore sometimes.

Maybe, but is it as annoying as necro pets getting in the way of absolutely everything everywhere?

I always switch to first person when looting things in mass.

The third person camera is terrible because it doesn't target only in front of the character, it targets whatever is in front of the camera (screen). My biggest frustration with this is still combat where your character will do a 180 to fire a heavy attack at the trash mob behind rather than the giant monster you have right in front of you.

Eh, pretty sure that even with a super compelling story, I'd still be stopping to pick up loot. Bioware games, Obsidian games, Bethesda games, Blizzard games... they've taught me well, I do it in all of them. And I don't really do this 'immersion' thing. /shrug

I guess you have not done the MQ in a while, the Companions surround you like a Secret Security Scrum around the President. You cant activate anything but them.

You should have pulled your merchant out for a party. Darian, Lathen, Bear, and Merchant. You REALLY wouldn't get anything looted.
