OK, this might be a really noob question but, when I loot something I don't get any message on screen telling me what I've looted. I have to keep going into my inventory to check. Am I missing something? Some setting maybe?
If you want to keep auto-loot enabled, want to see what it is you are looting, and aren't deathly allergic to the idea of installing addons, then I recommend this: http://esoui.com/downloads/info35-LootDrop.html
I'm going to guess it's because bag space is so limited that feature will be good for about 1-2 weeks at most before you can't auto loot all that way. Also, needing to see what you looted when looting all kinda defeats the purpose of ALL loot. If you all loot you must have space to spare and are ok with waiting till your bags fill up before culling them down.
To be honest, I didn't even realize there was an auto loot feature! I thought about it being useful the other day when I was ransacking a group of barrels and crates for free foodstuffs, but didn't end up looking for it in the options because I decided I'd just fill up my bags with stuff I didn't want that way.
I probably won't go with an addon now that I know about them though, as I rather like how minimal the UI is. Something which encourages me to constantly read chat logs of what items I'm picking up would just detract from that for me.

I use the option in Wykkyd's Framework to output it to my chat. I prefer the more permanent record to LootDrop's x-second disappearing window. Just for another option!
Every time someone swears, it gets replaced with three asterisks. There's only one three-letter swear word that I know of. I read that in the place of every set of three asterisks. It makes for some amusing sentences.
What I hate is when i am running around doing my thing, get back to town and doing the "holy crap that is an upgrade" when at the vendor. I want to see if looted weapons and armor more than anything.
