The Most Efficient Class for Solo Farming/Delving etc.

Soul Shriven
Looking for feedback on which class/build would be great for solo farming delves, public dungeons, bosses, etc. for gear and materials. Ideally, something with amazing self-sustain and mob clear.

Any constructive ideas, feedback, advice would be greatly appreciated.

IMO, it's Templar. Self-healing, good defense and good damage.

Stamplar? Magplar? Some sort of hybrid?

I like a MagPlar personally, but StamPlar has it's advantages. I think a MagPlar is better though for these purposes. I use both a Destro and a Resto staff on my bars though. Makes me hard to kill.

What are some skills I should focus on for AOE? Sustain? Single target burst?

    I appreciate the help!

Offensive magplar skills: drop blockade, purifying light, shards/reflective light, then spam elemental weapon. Rinse and repeat. More than enough offense in most any fight. AOE damage is a magplars best friend. Practice on the Precursor dummy for burst damage. Keep rune down for sustain. You can also run elemental drain for sustain and major breach if solo, but usually not needed in groups.

My go to public dungeon/delve farmer is a MagSorc. For 90% of this and other overland content I just use a single bar because by the time I'd get through a buff cycle and bar swap the mobs are already dead.

Here's my ridiculously easy set up.

Gear - x5 Juliano's, x5 Necropotence, x2 Grothdar (just because I apparently deconned my Iliambris helm and haven't bothered to get a new one. Infused lightning staff for weapon.

    Skills:
Twilight matriarch - For Necropotence proc and for emergency burst heal when I'm not paying attention.
Blockade of Storms (Wall of Elements lightning morph)
    Liquid Lightning (Lightning Splash morph)
Endless Fury (Mage's Fury morph) - For trash mobs the net return of magicka from enemies killed by the skill make sustain easy peasy. This is basically my spammable that I target different mobs with that will self-proc its own execute
Power Surge (Surge morph) - 20% increased spell damage and critical hits heal you (1 per second). With all those AOEs going, you'll never lack the healing tics

I pull all the mobs I can, trigger surge, lay down my AOEs, drop an endless fury and heavy lightning attack. Most times 75% of the pull is dead by the time I finish my first heavy attack.I clean up the rest with a few more endless furies and at that point all my magicka is completely restored. Definitely an idiot-proof set up.

    MagSorc.

Not any more. Not since regen nerf. Sorcs need to stop or heavy attack all the time now.

I mean, magsorc is still good, but other classes can go on 100% of the time.

I use this but I also run volatile familiar instead of endless fury. blows through public dungeons, delves and some group dungeons.

Agree except matriarch. No heal needed, I use the scamp instead for insane aoe dmg over 8 seconds and an aoe stun on top. Cleaning Skyreach very fast... No other class is so effective

Magic NB and Magic Sorc. NB having the potential to be a bit faster for a lot of stuff, but harder to play and more button pressing. Sorcs have it a bit easier, and can probably solo some things that a NB cant because of pets. Most of the really impressive solo feats in this game have been done by mSorc. Fastest Skyreach carries I have seen have been done by mNB.

I almost exclusively solo and use a magsorc. Soloing delves and public dungeons is super easy and fast. I have soloed many world bosses and also many normal 4 man dungeons. I have also recently soloed vet wayrest1. Haven't tried VMA yet but am guessing it shouldn't be an issue.

Just transmute Undaunted Infiltrator and heavy attack to your hearts content with Infallible, I dunno.

Templar is the easiest. It’s my main. I do all dungeon content on my magTemp first to get a feel of the situation because he has so many “oh snip” rescue buttons. Even in my healer gear I just jab jab jab all day long when I’m solo. Add a monster set like Grothdar or something that does big damage when it procs and you just steamroll everything. Jabs even heal you. I take on bosses just fine. Jabby jab all day son.
