With the changes coming to fishing next patch, Is this drink going to be useless? The perks from the drink are going to be “the norm” for fishing now

Thoughts?

Fishing
Rare fish listed in Achievements will now indicate which type of water they can be found in.
Bait tooltips now indicate which water type they are best used for.
Fishing Nodes now display what water type they are in their name.

Hmmm...time to sell my leftover recipes.

My thoughts exactly. Gonna have to host a fishing party in my guild to get rid of all my leftover drinks. I keep a good amount crafted at all times because I fish every day. But with these changes, The drink will be useless. :(

Well it would be great if they can change fish-eye recipe so consuming it grants higher chance at rare fish/loot

It's already useless on PC with addons anyway :p

So basically replacing an addon...I never really understood the use for that drink..

For us console users, The drink has been a huge help. We dont have all the fancy add ons so the drink was needed to make fishing a little easier.

The pickled fish bowl recipe from artaeum is supposed to already grant a boost to finding rare fish, Dont see them adding that perk to another consumable.

I don't know that it's useful (as the E prompt from fishing holes can be seen from surprisingly far away) but it also makes the fishing holes glow so as to be more noticeable, much like Keen Eye for resource nodes.

I wasnt thinking about that, It does make them more noticeable. I always used it to identify water types so I didnt have to guess and waste bait.

I'd like to suggest the Fish eye rye recipe makes white provisioning fish more attracted to the fisher. Since its otherwise useless with the new water/bait perks.

I just wish they would taking fishing one step, one very small step further.

Please ZOS, let us fillet the zone specific fish. Each quality increase green/blue/purple could have a very small extra chance of getting perfect roe, or they could be used to introduce new provisioning/alchemy ingredients into the game.

Umm, no thanks. That means I would have to remove the custom "junk" filter on them. Whenever I catch one of them, they're automatically added to junk so I auto-vendor them when I interact with a merchant.
