I love watching everyone die to the boss as I hide behind one of the pillars, free from damage. I have no idea why I am the only one who does this every time I do a geyser.

That's my tactic of choice as a ranged stam player. Unload with my Ultimate as soon as the boss comes out of the geyser, throw Caltrops and Endless hail whenever possible, and take potshots with Poison Injection while dodging around the coral pillars to stay out of one shots.

Geysers are a little different than Keelsplitter, though. I only did that world boss once and I was really impressed with how ZOS countered the usual "stack and burn" tactics by having Keelsplitter move periodically. I died a bunch of times due to getting knocked back into other AOE. The little snakes were cool but deadly.

Keelsplitter is a fun world boss with interesting mechanics that I really need to practice more. :)

That's because you're supposed to stack on him and block his 2 AOE attacks. If everyone's in melee range, he won't do the geysers. When he moves, you need to spread out and get back into melee range as soon as possible. As a stamblade, I have absolutely zero issues with this boss. Oh, and DON'T step on the snakes..

Now the Gryphon's as a stam player...I HATE that fight with a passion. Especially when there's no one managing threat. I always get agro and then one-shot when they do their combo stunlock/charge/lightning special. They're a piece of cake on my magblade tank.

Cannerin is a close second on most hated world boss as a stam player.

I had a DERP moment. I was thinking of the wrong boss.

that one is fun imo. But I am range and constantly moving around. Haven't died once to that boss.

      Melee characters...well.....that's another story.

Okay, I'll admit I may have confused you by saying "a ranged stam player". That character is a bog-standard stam sorc with DW/bow, exactly how you'd expect in a dungeon with the usual range and melee options. Its just that for overland geysers, I have no need to do anything more complicated than sit at range on my bow bar, out of range of the one shots, and helping the loads of other players kill the bosses. So for overland geysers, I play my stam character at range because its easy.

        Does that make sense now?

I actually enjoy that fight. AoE doesn't bother me that much (Bahrah's Curse 4pc bonus supposedly works on ground AoE), plus I'm REALLY good at finding safe areas to stand. Graveld has a nice sized hitbox. You don't need to stand right on top of him. The only challenge is when he's in his execute phase where he's doing the AoE AND has the adds up. There's usually enough mobs in the Bahrah's curse proc area that I really don't need to worry too much.
