It's hard not to be a biased sorc when ludicrous threads get posted daily moaning about sorcs. Sorcs where on the back foot for a an age. 6 months of pitiful burst after Frag took its second nerf and lost its stun and yet still posts like this were raised by noob players daily.
Cage gets a buff and boom everyone jumps on that band wagon again. It's just boring. Sure in this patch cage has had a buff, (if you run Immov pots the skill doesn't even fire - you counter the entire skill) but sorcs are still the easiest class to counter bar none, and are very telegraphed in how they play and still face multiple issues.
So yeah sorc players do bite, and do defend like @Emma_Overload but its because we are bored of every scrub and his dog moaning about sorcs endlessly.

Yes my 10 seconds of cc immunity on a 40 second cooldown tied to using a specific potion can counter the entire skill, wow!
I can also slot wings (since I'm a DK) to reflect frags as a hard counter! And then the reflected attack will proc rune cage on me and I'll die before breaking free, amazing!
I can also "Just Slot Purge™" to get rid of haunting curse every single time its cast on me and spam heals to make sure I don't fall into execute range, exciting!
Don't forget how easy it is to counter negate.... I mean, just move out of it? Right?

You are talking about countering Rune Cage right? But then describe Defensive Rune. Now I know you feel Sorcs are OP but as of yet I've not seen any run both Morphs of a skill at once... Haha hilarious.
Curse was changed a full year ago and you haven't learnt to counter it yet? Blimey.
sometimes I have to get a target to under 25% health before they detonate, this should probably be buffed up to 50% because 25% is a bit tricky. perhaps a second execute? or maybe a passive that just deal more damage to targets under 50% health? that might be a bit OP so make it electric and physical damage only.
also on occasion targets of my rune cage are actually breaking free after a few seconds, this is making the time it takes to target all my un-counter-playable burst too narrow to pull off effectively all the time, if you could make rune cage flat out just un breakable for a more consistent gameplay experience I would really appreciate it as it would allow the enemy to just accept their fate instead of giving them the glimmer of cruel hope that they *might* survive whats about to be done to them.
. . .oh and buff shields. . .I don't have a reason for this one but its kind of an auto include.
. . .and nerf shield breaker.
