[Suggestions] : [Outfit system] : Hide other slots & Monster/Unique pieces option

I would have two suggestions for the outfit system, I know both have probably already been suggested in part, but I still wanted to make a post about my view on it.

Hide slots (Other than Helm):
First of all, I know people have been talking about an option to hide shoulders, I also would like to have that option just like you can do with helms, but I would also like that suggestion to be extended to all other slots at the exception of chest and legs slots (for logical reasons). Sometimes it's hard to get a good matching pair of gloves, shoes or belt or it would look better without having anything in those slots at all. Good example for chest pieces which have no sleeves, having no gloves or bracers would look better. Same thing for shoes where the pants are kilt likes (Mazzatun) or shorter already, having no boots, shoes or sandals at all would be a better fit. There's another bit that will also come up with my the suggestion.

I don't think that would be something really had to add to the game at all since it can easily be done with the helm and making it look like you just have nothing equipped at all shouldn't be too hard or a deal.

Monster sets / Unique looking pieces for outfits:

I know requests/suggestions have already been made for the case of monster helm and shoulder to be available as an option for the outfit system, where you can have the look of any helm/shoulders combo even if they are not the ones you currently were. This would be easy to track simply based on achievements for completing the corresponding group dungeon on veteran.

I would also like to extend that option for some unique looking pieces out there (even if some that aren't available anymore) to also have a place in the outfit system. Pieces I'm talking about , for example, the Encasement of Anguish, which used to be a drop from the rare Daedra Sisters Generals before dolmens were made to drop zone set pieces. This chest piece is the equivalent of the one available on the Dark Seducer Costume that already exists, but without having to use the costume, or its other pieces. I know there is also a helm that had the appearance based on the costume's one too. This is a piece that looks really nice in outfits but having to wear it, you have to sacrifice a set piece just for the look.

This would also including all the casual clothing you can steal from random containers, so you could have a nice casual clothes look. That would also fit well with the above "hide other slots" as you could hide the belt and gloves with that kind of outfit.

...Plus it might give people an additional reason to buy additional outfits slots from the crown store, don't you think?

We keep suggesting it, I don't think we've heard anything official on it.

We should honestly be able to hide all equipment except maybe our weapons for obvious reasons.

Theyve already shown how the monster sets will become available. There will be a weapon pack themed to various monster sets, and while that pack is available (Illambris is coming up, and will last a month) you can get an outfit style page from the final boss of the associated dungeon for the helms, and a page for the shoulders as a drop from the undaunted chest of correct type.

A option to hide the guild tabard would be great as well.

I'm pretty sure chest/legs too, they won't want naked people running around :p

Agree on hiding slots but I'd ask for all slots. No reason a burly barbarian can't fight bare chested. No reason a tiny elven archer can't run around with a mid-thigh tunic & boots with no leg coverings.

It seems a good way to do this might be with the outfit system. Among all the motifs you can choose from for each slot, simply have an 'invisible' motif which would effectively hide whatever you have equipped in that slot.

Can already run around naked by taking off all your armor and running with no costume or outfit.

Some outfits even expose the chest completely or barely cover the legs as is so I see no reason we couldn't hide them as well. I would always use legs personally, but there have been a few outfits that I've made over the years that look better when I'm bare chested.

i would absolutely love being able to “hide” armor slots especially for feet, but to hide shoulders would be nice too

I completely agree about hiding other pieces. Especially since shoulder pieces keep clipping through the characters shoulders. Most notably with the Fang Lair light chest which limits what shoulders I can use with it.

It would be great as fluff. I am very happy with the current out fit system. Except for the price. But a lot of that is my fault for tinkering so much.

PLEASE at the very least "hide shoulders"

but yes, a hide anything would be nice as well. If I can't get a shirtless costume (which I have yet to be able to buy in 4 years) I'd like my little barbarian tank to run around in his argonian shorts and nothing else. he's a weirdo, I like skin, it's a win-win... or it would be if the game allowed me to do it.

Being unable to hide any set pieces makes half of the character creation engine useless. What is the point of tattoos or scars on the chest/shoulders or any of the skins, if you cannot show them off without wearing 1 or 2 specific costume pieces.

Ah yeah, I forgot about that part. I mostly play female characters so I didn't think about it.

Yep' had that issue often trying to find shoulders fitting some chest pieces. Some even end up nearly invisibld because they are lower or smaller.

That's also one thing I had in mind. Body tattoos or even fur/scales design on beast races. So much details put in them just to have most of it hidden except a few rare parts or when using costumes.
