How often does ZOS grant content and crown store request

I’m hoping ZOS will answer this as well as the community. But how often is it that ZOS grants popular demand? When it comes to DLC content and crown store items, how often is it they say to themselves “hey a lot of players have been requesting this kind of DLC or this kind of crown store item, lets deliver it to them”. The only example i can think of is the boat house, and i remember hearing a lot of folks were asking for thieves guild.

I think there's a thread where you can request stuff but I'm not sure how they determine what to add and what not to add

Ya i have placed a number of ideas on that thread, but i wonder it its a lost cause. Like how many discussion boards do the developers actually respond to? I just started on the ESO forum for the first time a few days ago

ZOS doesn't care what we think about anything, They've proven to be very neglectful. Heck, they don't listen to us when it comes to their #1 priority (the crown store) and it takes a total freaking meltdown over this span of months for them to even acknowledge what we have to say about the games stability.

That's insane, they're really bad at being developers. Theyre great at milking cash, terrible at everything else

Developers/Community Manager types probably read alot more then we think they do.

Not on purpose.

(Hopefully) most of the team r ES nerds and play the game themselves. So they should be able to answer the question "What would be a cool addition to the game?" themselves.
(Hopefully) they plan the development of the game ~5 years ahead and dont rely on good ideas from the forums what to make next. There has been a "green" post informing, that they r technically not allowed to read suggestions and act by them.

As i write, the chapters and story dlcs for up to 2021 r prolly "set in stone". I think, if a popular request is "granted", its more accidentally than planned.

I have to say I completely disagree with this.

They have responded and changed major parts of the game on many things the playerbase has asked for.

One Tamriel / getting rid of vet system
Jewlery crafting
Dueling
Outfit system
Housing
No CP and CP pvp
Bank slot increase
Changes to Cyrodill that people asked for
Many things added to the crown store that people requested
Incoming changes to the skill reallocation
Others I can't remember atm

There are lots of things asked for that they won't do because they won't fit with this game or ate too easily exploited. They don't have to implement every little thing that us asked for. The game would become a bigger mess if they did that. They have certain guidines, lore, vision and technical issues they need to stay within.

Yes the game as issues, they know the game has issues and we all wish they would be faster at fixing things like game stability. I agree it seems their focus is mostly the crown store but they have different dev teams doing different things. I suspect the crown store items are a much much easier issue and faster to deal with and are created by people with a different skill set than people that work on game balance and stability.

This game is huge, it's complex and the stability issues are complicated and not easily solved.

I'm still waiting for my daedric titan mount... *sigh* one day. jk jk I really doubt flying mounts could work in this kind of game. I for one believe that they are aware of popular demands and at times they do attempt to satisfy those demands.

In regards to crown store items motifs that people want get added all the time even if it's just temporary, people who want unique mounts have plenty of options to choose from, and they added houses to old DLC areas.

The new wolfhunter DLC is bringing some desirable changes to the werewolf passives. Although there does not seem to be any indication that the appearance of the werewolf form will be improved even though lots of doggos on here want an updated appearance. Of course, it's always possible that there will be updates to it later on. What's important is that the main issue of maintaining the werewolf form is seemingly being improved. The respec system is also being updated so people can finally remove skills individually.

The Murkmire DLC comes with a new group arena, which is something a lot of people have been asking for. Some people want a new single player arena, a duo focused arena, 6 player arenas, and my personal favorite is an arena that gets harder when more people are in your group. If I had to guess Murkmire's arena will have a 4 player limit like Dragonstar Arena. What the game really needs is a queue for these group arenas now that'd be cool.

Clockwork City introduced the transmutation station, which greatly alleviated the gear grind in the game especially for those like me who ran Vet Maelstrom Arena hundreds of times trying to get my ideal weapons. We can now dye our weapons, which has been something that people have wanted for so long that someone made a post about it without realizing that it had already been added to the game. The outfit system allows Fashion Scrolls to be better than ever before. two-handed weapons and staves now count as two items sets, which is something mag players like myself have wanted for quite some time. Jewelry crafting is finally in the game and although it costs too much to upgrade jewelry the cost allows for gold jewelry to be sold to others for a worthwhile price.

As long as a popular demand is reasonable and capable of being implemented I feel that there is always a chance that ZOS will add it to the game.
