op.... have you had this conversation with sony?

i'd be interested to see their response.

about some sort of transfer, or what their policy is towards ZOS. I am not going to bring up the purchases not going through or the harassment cases as they said my account would face disciplinary action should I bring it up again. I do not know, however what their policy is regarding questions towards companies like ZOS.

As a PC player since Beta, as far as I am concerned, any console player should have a one time opportunity to transfer their entire account to PC. The state of console is an embarrassment to this game. I watched a buddy play on his PS4 for about 30 minutes one day. Simply put, you couldnt pay me to play that version of the game.

The only possible issues would be back and forth transfers as the economies are different, but frankly I think consoles have more to fear from PC users transferring their way as opposed to the opposite.

So you can afford $399.99 (price of PS4 pro) $39.99 (price of eso) [$59.99 at launch] and $14.99 monthly, but can’t afford a $500 PC to play ESO on?

Should have made a smarter investment. That’s like people wanting a refund or a re-do on who you’re 401k retirement plan is with. Once you pick company A and commit to it for years, you can’t just switch over and claim you want the benefits of company B’s 401k plan as soon as you switch.

@sekekama21554 show me a $500 PC build, display and peripherals and OS included, that will play ESO at reasonable quality and you might have a point.

You can build a Ryzen 2200G machine with 8 or 16GB of RAM, a 1050ti or 1060 (if you find a deal), a 1TB HDD, with a cheap PSU and case for somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 ... but it's a pretty low end machine and you'd still have $250 or so to go to get Windows, a monitor, a mouse and keyboard. And performance would be pretty poor with that setup.

And besides, for most console ESO players the cost of the console is a sunk cost. They already owned it. They didn't buy it just to play ESO.

No,no he should show one that could run ESO for 500$ in 2015. I got my ps4 for 200 Canadian in 2015 when esowas available for console.

God, I have so longed to transfer over to PC I had a lengthy conversation with support about this a year ago, but was of course shot down. I still would love to change platforms, but I am not willing to loose all my progress and money spent on the PS4. ESO is the only thing really that I keep my PS4 for now....all my other games are on my gaming PC. Shame at the time ESO was released I never owned a PC strong enough ):

Only that the transfer was offered as a one time thing back when eso was released first as their database thingys were brand new and could be transfered and there was limited data. now the data thingys are full of years worth of data and they do not have a work around on how to transfer it out...I can probably understand how PS4 could be difficult because (lol sony) though I would think Xbox and PC would be easy...coz microsoft.. but Im no expert on this.

Someone asked that I show a $500 setup. Now that might sound hard to some people in 2018. Mind you this game came out 3.5 years ago give or take and the price of cpus gpus, memory, internals etc were a little bit cheaper.

And given the fact a ton of people have old monitors somewhere in their attic, a spair mouse, heck you could put a build together still for at or about 500 and change.

Seriously people need to get out of the mindset of “big box company” sold computers at about 3x what they cost if you were to pick the parts out yourself.

    You don’t need a 1050, 1060, 1070, or 1080 to play ESO fine.
You don’t need a 7th gen or 8th gen cpu either.

I’m on my iPhone but I’m sure some other nerd like me will take the time off pc part picker and come up with a build and show people what I’m talking about. It’s not hard, just takes time.
You want something fast and instant? Going to cost you that’s all.

Honestly I really dont see why they dont do one time copies for everyone evert so often if yoy want to pay for it. You could probably make it 50 bucks plus the cost of the game and expansions. Seriously zos, how do your investors feel about you leaving money on the table like that?

    In 2018- sure
In 2013, when it was launched?
In 2015 when it was launched for consoles?: That I know is a no. I had a rig that met the minimum requirements and it was not playable.

I for one would like to transfer from PS4 to pc, but I want to transfer everything not just some parts. I believe it could be done if all parties where willing but apparently they are not.

For me personally I have never played a game on PC also stuck with consoles but I really enjoy ESO and I can see myself continuing to play if for years to come as long as it is supported. ESO is my first MMO and it was my fault I started playing it on console. With PS4 console life span coming to a end in a few years, I can see ESO continuing beyond that and in order for the game to grow even more it needs to move beyond the current PS4 and Xbox platforms. We already know that the reason for the housing limit is due to the console limitations.

Charge backs can get you banned.I would never do this It is better to just talk it out with support and keep your order numbers from your emails.

I feel your pain for having put money into the PS4 account but PC has it's share of problems to. Many are feeling neglected no mater what they are playing on.

To reflect your post: my pc broke down in february. It was a high end pc. I had to get a new mobo and cpu. Costs: 300 euros at least. Downside: they all went to ddr4 ram, so had to replace that too...another 150 euros. In the end it was cheaper and less of a hassle to buy a console that actually works once you set it up then a pc that cant run stuff 50% of the time because stuff needs upgradings. And for the record, my setup on the pc was around 2500 euros while my ps4 pro is 400 and runs all the games better. Pcs are nice for work but are crap for gaming in my opinion. So much hardware to deal with, it has to mess up somewhere while making a game, while consoles just need one setup.

I'm not personally bothered one way or the other on this, but I can imagine that the main obstacles to switching platforms on beneficial terms are both technical in the case of character transfers and legal in terms of the contractual arrangements between ZOS and the platform providers. There is bound to be a clause preventing ZOS from luring players away from Xbox and PS4. Nothing can prevent a player from buying a second copy on a different platform, but once ZOS start to throw goodies at that second copy in terms of Crown Store duplications and automatic CP progression etc then that is likely to be seen as an inducement contrary to the terms of their contract with Microsoft and Sony.
