Guild Recruiting

How come some people bash you for trying to recruit? Made a new guild about a week ago. Was recruiting but was mostly recruiting lower level players. I was getting a few mid cp players but we didnt have the numbers to attempt anything. Now we're at 40 members and implemented a 300cp requirement and im getting bashed a few times a day. No offense but im not trying to have a guild full of low level players. I want to be able to do trials and im sure others feel the same or theyll leave the guild. Im trying to make it work but man it just sucks when you get attacked.
TLDR: Getting attacked for putting level requirement on guild recruiting.

I wasnt fluffing it up either all i said was. "The Organization is recruiting. Were a brand new social/pve guild with goals to do vet dungeons, trials, progression teams, and help those in need. Our requirements are to be active, at least 300CP, and join our discord."

Hmm... So what do you expect from the forum to tell you? Something that affirms your decision?

""Help those in need." *has a CP300 requirement*

Helping people that are more likely to already know what they're doing?

Truth be told it's probably the 'new guild' part while demanding CP300, it's a odd demand for a new guild and frankly I haven't SEEN that many guilds that were not endgame vet trial chasers that had a CP requirement.

CP means very little player wise, anyone worth their salt knows any cookie cutter build chaser that does 10K DPS or less can grind themselves to 750CP, it doesn't make them a good player at all.
    Hoping for more playable races

Personally I see it as, it's simply people don't like salesman nor restrictions. The simplest answer is you ingore and move on. It happens to every recruiter for one reason or another so don't let it get to you.

No matter what you do, there will always be someone that disagrees with that and of that number, some will feel the need to tell you all about it... over and over and over.

Build your guild the way you want. Bring in the sort of players that work well for your goals. If others don't like that, you'll have to deal with it, either with the ignore button or just knowing that there will always be some backlash. You could be giving away puppies and 1 million dollars in gold and there will be a certain percentage of people who will scream and yell at you.

Yea i understand. What i was trying to do was get people that have at least 300cp and help them in anyway i can. I know theres people that grind the cp but have no clue how to dps, or heal, or tank. Maybe i can say help improve idk. Its kinda hard to start a guild when there are already alot of established guilds. I feel like you cant win no matter what sometimes. Started the guild with good intentions and its not going so well lol.

Also @coop500 is right about just because they have cp doesnt make them a good player, but then how can i go about so im not inviting only newer low level players. Thats kinda why i did it in the first place.

It might be that low cp players will work well for you. They aren't invested in any guilds currently as they are still new. It's a chance to get them involved in your guild from the start. They can grow with your guild and you can learn to work together. It will take more of an initial investment, but you may find that an eager, active new player could be better than cp300 over time.

Yea i do appreciate everyone for helping me understand how guilds work a little better. Ill retract my requirement and see if its work for the better or the worse. Wish me luck everyone and have a good day.

Yeah, slapping a requirement on a social guild is, "strange."

You'll probably still see some pushback. That's life. But the CP requirement probably drew more derision than the recruiting itself.
