Showing skin in this game has multiple "advantages". Sure, some people just want to see more of the avatar body. We are thrown so many skins, tattoos and body markings that we NEVER get to fully appreciate as nearly all armor styles cover a majority of the skin. If there were more options that allowed us to see these collectibles, the few we have may not be in such huge demand.

How new the style is, how difficult the dungeon is, and the perceived demand for them.

Lol, but 355k for the Fang chests? Those people are price gouging. They're worth 70k to 100k at most.

It's not gouging. It's reflective of demand. It's pretty obvious why Fang Lair is in demand. Heh.

And anyone selling them for 100k will see an instant sale... as well as they guy that bought it and resold it for 300k 30 seconds later.

The Fang lair chest motif goes for about 550k on PS4 and they go extremely fast. I remember finding 2 in Mournhold. I went to the bank to get the gold and came back and they were both gone. The missus got lucky today and found one for 490k this morning. And yes, she bought it because she wants a skimpy top to wear .

I think it's reasonably priced seeing as how most people can't even finish the dungeon. Can't beat it? Pay the price. In my case, I can run it with no problems, but the RNG is the real problem.

me too. the congenital accidents of the way my body grew are generally better-looking than the ESO character models, but their navels are way cuter than mine.

oh whoops, that's not very ESO-related. umm, NERF SORCS!

Well ingoring obvious factors, I honestly think left side arms are ugly. It throws off the design. Not really feeling immersed in the style. Also default dyes could be better. Well these are my personal thoughts, fashion is funny thing. You just never know for sure.

Supply and demand drive the value for anything in life ever. Where the asking price and bidding price meet. This can be different for each individual but as a collection is what drives what the actual price ends up being.

So if you dont think its worth it then you are on the low end of the spectrum. There are many on the much higher end that are willing to pay much more than you.

    This concludes econ 101

A single motif chapter priced at nearing half a million is not "reasonable", no matter the case. I dont care that the game has been out for years now nowhere near everyone has millions of gold just gathering dust. Once those few who have the will and means to pay such high prices have made their purchase, the sales of these chapters will cease cause no one else even has that much gold let alone enough to justify shelling it out for a single chapter.

Besides people like me dont even have the desire to buy it anymore since the Battlegrounds variant dropped for me just last week.

The upshot is with the free ESO trial period coming up there will probably be more people running it and getting drops; hopefully that will drive the prices down a little.

There isn't too many skimpy outfits in a game and some people might want something prettier to look at or show off their tats lol

It's not difficult to earn gold in this game. That said, those who do put the effort into earning gold will, of course, be the ones who have the first opportunity to obtain high demand items. That's not unfair or unreasonable. Motifs aren't necessities.

People throw the word gouge around so much that it's taken on new meanings, but it's supposed to refer to essential items like food and water. Not skimpy outfits.

But you are correct in that as demand and scarcity decline over time, so too will the price. However, that doesn't make the prices today unreasonable.

Pretty much this what is the point of hundreds of skins and tattoos if no one can see them.. Skimpy gear is a must have..

It was like when the BA motif first came out looks like except you can buy the full motifs on the crown store as soon as they were released for these 2 new ones.

Here's a couple of pics of the BA's i've sold back in the past at launch of MW, I've sold nearly 500 BA pages between launch of MW and when it hit the stores.

Well, scalecaller is not as hard as fang lair, and obviously ZOS know what looks good and purposefully put it on the hardest dungeon. It if drops on easy dungeon, you can expect the price to fall.
