Or maybe its just a crossbow that the npcs you fight in the dungeons use as a skill somewhat like silver bolts for example.

Crossbows would be awesome.
Especially if they could be dual wielded.

But like someone else said, if we were gonna get Crossbows as a weapon they would've made an article about it.
Since it would be a "big" new thing.

It would be very unlikely Zos would add a new weapon outside of a chapter.

Also, cross bow does not seem to be a great idea. Unlikely to have longer range and as long as the current bow is lame then there is no reason to add another lame bow type.

It's just a pic for the new hat. The crossbow is for effect to complete the Van Helsing effect. if you want a crossbow you can already use the skill in the Fighters Guild skill line. The crossbow is probably from there

We already have a crossbow skill, just stick a skin on it and use it as a bow style motif

Also, if your interested, go to the sky watch fighters guild in auridon, outside the door are two fighters duelling with spears

There is a crossbow in the game. It's a fighter's guild skill called Silver Bolts. Personally I doubt they would add another weapon line, especially with a dungeon DLC. It's been 4 years and they haven't added a new weapon in the time, so it'd definitely be very surprising if they randomly did it out of nowhere.
