I report them all the time but they're still always there, especially in starter zones like Stros M'Kai. They used to mostly just be in areas farming wolves/bears and now that Jewelry mats are expensive you've got one standing at each node waiting for it to respawn.

We have these stupid game restrictions that you put on the rest of us like only getting one character deletion per 24 hours which you say is to prevent game abuses yet you do little to nothing to police these bots all over the place even people are reporting them.

Give me Admin privilege on PS4 NA, I'll have every one of them gone in an hour and they'll stay gone.

I don't think bots are even possible on the PS4. Maybe it's just a bunch of REALLY patient players.

I play PS4 all the time and don't see those issues. Of course, I don't play when there are 50 gazillion other players out there so maybe it isn't happening for me.

For me, the worst is the CP 500-750 players running about like demons just taking everything. Do they even still have a use for iron and jute? And let me tell you, never, ever being able to use a chest cuts in to my bottom line. I hate them so much! :)

No, bots are very real on Console. They take a little more dedication, but they absolutely exist. Most recent ones I saw were in Bleakrock, by Deathclaw's cave. Just about 20 players, heavy attacking everything that moved. Reported as many as I could, but it's a rather fruitless task. I'll see about uploading a video

I believe you. I guess I've just been lucky not to have experienced it. Like I said, if they would lock the under 50 content to just under 50 players, things would be a lot easier.

Besides, what on Nirn could be so valuable at that cave? As far as I remember, the best thing in the area are the 2 Thieves Caches and they aren't anywhere near the cave.

You're just not in the zones they're farming. Go to Stros M'Kai today and run around the North side of the map where Rubedite/Jewelry nodes spawn. Multiple others are complaining in Zone chat about it as I'm typing.

No there are bots on xbox and ps4. It is a program operating them... they are not real people.

One of the worst spots I've encountered bots on XB-NA is in Glenumbra... Camlorn maybe? Wherever it is, there's an instanced quest that during the early stages causes a ton of werewolves and humanoids to continuously spawn in a confined area. Once you complete the quest those mobs are completely gone (not just yellow/non-aggro), so the bots are only visibile to the those playing in the non-completed instance.

Took me forever just to kill the five or six werewolves I needed to complete the quest. Must have been 20+ bots spamming heavy destro attacks with pets. A majority of the bots were also into their Champion Point levels (CP20-CP40) which is virtually unheard of. Most I witness are level 6-15.

I agree that even if ZOS just paid an entry-level intern minimum wage to play console all day and look for (and eradicate) bots, it would go a long way to earning some thanks from those of us on console who have to deal with them.

I know what a bot is. I'm not an idiot. I hadn't thought them possible on the PS4 given Sony's proprietary software. That, and I've never encountered them.

There didn't used to be bots standing at each Node farming until Summerset because of the high cost Jewelry mats. This is new beyond the old wolves/bear farming you'd see groups of bots at.

That reminds me of something I encountered on Auridon where there were all these mages and their pets having a never ending battle with respawning wolves that seems to go on forever, and ever, and ever. They didn't bother me and I didn't bother them, so I can only assume that the wolves were something else for them and they were bots farming? The certainly seemed to be using the same rotation over and over and over.

You can tell bots right away from just their PSN and character names. It's always random letters and numbers that make no sense because they know at some point they'll get banned and have to create a bunch more.

They farm the wolves for the hide scraps. The bot master logs in every so often and clears out their inventory and either sells stacks of raw mats, or refines them and sells the dreugh wax to players at a discount. The gold they get from this is often sold on websites for real money or funneled to their main account for use in-game.

And yes, Shattered Grove in Auridon is another area that is a popular locale for bots due the nature of the quest in that area that continuously spawns wolves and bears.

I'm not thinking you are an idiot. But you would be surprised at what can be programmed to run certain routines. Not all of us respond to various things to look down on others but rather to enlighten or shed light on things or what have you. Chin up and look to the future.

Give people a sort of taste of crafting of sorts. It makes sense to me honestly. Might not to you but it is a starter zone so crafting can be a start.

A lot of those sites that sell gold also steal people's info as well. I've seen too many horror stories of people trying to buy gold only to have their info stolen.

Wolves. Kill some, get the hide, refine, profit. Nearly every bot farms animals for wax because of how easy it is.

I find this interesting, its three level of bot, first is rubberbanding, you just LA or use one skill over and over (dolmen AFK farming)
Second is macro you now have an rotation, AoE on cooldown, you can also rotate character, think water sprinkler throwing hail and caltrops. This is easy on PC and can be done on console with 3rd part programmable controller.

Last is real bots, they react to surroundings and hit targets, move around, and intercept new ones. This looks a bit like noob grinding.
On pc this is pretty easy as you can buy software, but on console it require an jailbreak and special software to exploit this, they are not casuals farming mats or xp.
I say go directly to Sony or MS here, no reason to involve ZoS.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
