Nope. If you havent already joined greatness just delete your toons and grind. Maybe King Emerick will forgive you and let you become part of the only true faction in this game

The Aldmeri Dominion? I don't think Emerick would forgive you for that though.

Let us select which faction we want to fight for, when entering a campaign. Locking all characters to the choice, for the entirety of the campaign, which would prevent faction hopping to the winning side and perhaps help with spying.

    This.
With one tam, this would 100% make sense. The way faction choice works now makes no sense at all.
This would give everyone what they want. It eliminates faction hopping. It allows you to change alliance once the campaign ends also. This needs to be a new system.

If as the title suggests, faction changes need to be a thing then it must be for a reason. As the OP doesn't give one, it's reasonable to conclude that there's no purpose to the thread and we can just move on.

I believe the term we're looking for is "Turncoat". :)

    Puh-leeze.
Whenever has it happened that in a bunch of gamers -everyone- did the very same thing? :p;)

I mean, sure, i can understand, eventually they might realize that the pact is the best faction and all want to defect... but I would say that because I like the pact best among all.
Others... may like others better, the sodding gits!
And more still just want to join with their friends and care little about the alliance itself...
And yet some will pick whatever gives them a decent challenge, and if one side gets overly wel populated, they may pick another just to turn the tables on the masses.

I know what I would do if the idea I keep tossing around was ever implemented. Most of my characters would stay where they are, one or two might defect to the pact, simply to see that storyline.
But some people -really- want to have their main switch, either because they made it back in the times before they realized what a drag the dominion really is and want to join the glory of the pact, or because they made it back when they had friends who played in the covenant who since left the game and their new friends are all properly in the pact, or... :p;):D

I've completed all the quests on my EP main, I recently faction swapped to AD and would love to be able to take my main with me, because lets be honest... no one wants to do all those quests, all those skyshards and lorebooks again.

I would pay good money for a 1 time faction swap, and I think a lot of others would as well.

If it was such a painstaking grind, i wouldnt need to have aliance change, but it is. I do not want to have to grind out another character to 10 undaunted, mages or even fighters, not to mention skyshards, waypoints and quests. Its worth 5k to me for a faction change.

Because of race change tokens. It drives people like me crazy to have a Dunmer in the Daggerfall Covenant, and a Bosmer in the Ebonheart Pact (to state my personal examples). If ZOS is going to sell race change tokens, they need to sell alliance change tokens, too. Just my personal opinion.

They could do that now, but don't. Everyone is able to make characters in every faction RIGHT NOW if they want to. If people wanted to change factions now, they can just switch characters, so alliance change tokens won't make a bit of difference.

The only way this could work if it was only allowed maybe once every six months or yearly. Otherwise it could cause a lot of griefing in pvp. I can see if your guild quits playing, your new friends are opposite faction so you want to join them or something. But being able to flip flop at any given time would be a cancer and a bane.
