Please let us trade apex mounts in for gems.

I'm so frustrated and annoyed by what that damn RNG does to me. At this point the best I can hope for from any crate is gems so that eventually, someday, I might be able to purchase an apex mount that I like. Pacrooti is a cruel, smarmy creep and he knows I hate and am borderline phobic about bears, so that motherblanker keeps giving me bears. "Oh, lucky" say the people who don't utterly loathe bears. He's taunting me. Let me trade those creepy things in for gems so I can save up for ANY OTHER mount, please!

or collectibles in general. the most of my characters are vampires and all those tattoos and whatnot have absolutely no use to me. oh and anything spider-like... no thanks to spiders. I dislike anything that crawls and scuttles. I wish I could trade them

I would be cool if we could trade old crown store stuff we don't want to use anymore for gems.

I'd love to be able to trade in ANY unwanted thing whether duplicated or not. My collection is full of hats I'll never wear, pets I'll never use, costumes that will never see light of day, etc. There was a reason I didn't buy some stuff when it was directly available, and now I'm stuck with it.

Let us turn in EVERYTHING for gemmies please! :)

Only thing I've ever really wanted out of crown crates are either motif books, the Dro'm senche and the Green senche. Anything else I've got will never get used.

I'd love this as well. So many unwanted pets, hats, and costumes! Place restrictions on it if you don't want to just open it up to everything all the time at full value, but let us have an opportunity to make a choice and turn in something we don't want for something we can enjoy.

Same tbh, I personally can't stand any of the apex mounts from the crown crates because I hate overdone, fantastical mounts. I don't mind them existing, but I'm sure as hell not going to use them when I have an entire collection of mounts I actually like. If I could turn them in for gems, or hell even give them away I'd be happy. That's not even mentioning the horde of vanity pets I never use.

I think I'd prefer to just win an "Apex Wildcard" and "Radiant Apex Wildcard" that lets me choose my apex reward instead of being given a mount type that I may not want. I understand that would make it slightly easier to get exactly what you want and then you'd stop buying, but the gem system covers that anyway. This would essentially cover the concept of trading in mounts for the ones you do want without opening the door for any trades after you have won your prize. I can assume that ZOS doesn't want you swapping over and over on a whim.

I was thinking something along the same lines as gear that drops in dungeons, where there's an hour limit on when it can be traded, and only to party members. They could make Crown Crate wins tradeable back for gems for only one hour, after which time it would become permanent, so that would preclude people using it for a while and then getting bored and trading it in.

While i completely agree, i must say if u allow:

    - trading in any item, no matter if u have it or not
    - trading in for full gemprice

Crowncrates suddenly become "fair" but also completely pointless.
Could have put the items in normal store. should have.

They're basically humongous raccoons, or maybe raccoons are tiny bears, but either way, what I've seen of them is that they are so singlemindedly hungry and willing to destroy anything that gets in the way of that goal. They're cute when they play with each other, but also, baby bears just LIVE for the moment when they can run up to a camper and then scream "aaah Mom it's trying to hurt me" and get someone killed. Like, that's how they troll. Evil!

You only get 132 Gems per mount.. Thats way low as they are 400.. i'd personally rather keep a Apex i don't like than get 132 gems..

I know its 132 Gems as i had a second Psijic mount pop and thats what i was refunded..

Boy, not me, if I had those 132 gems I'd be another third of the way toward being able to afford the one I actually want! I might even buy a couple of crates to make up the few gems I'd have left to get, instead of just knowing I can't get it this time and waiting a few more seasons.

I have a Vitrine (rare version of the dwarven apex tier) wolf that's rotting in my bags forever because of hating the dwemer steampunk look. I can't exchange it for gems. Can't sell it ingame. Can't trade it for another apex mount. I can't even GIVE it away to a player that would appreciate it. Even an unfair trade gems-wise would be better than it sitting there forever uselessly.

It's really not. I cannot seem to impress upon people just exactly how much I hate bears. I hate bears on the same level that most people hate the idea of cockroach milk. Seriously. And it's not only an apex mount I don't want, it's taking the place of one that I would have loved to have, so it's like the RNG is deliberately taunting me.

    Me too.

I consider it extremely lucky that the only apex mount I've ever gotten is one I actually like. Most of the time (on the rare occasions I have crates to open at all) I'm actually hoping I don't get one because in a way it's worse than getting a bad drop. I'd feel like I should be happy because I know other people would desperately love to have it, but that would just make it worse because I'm not going to enjoy it on that basis and every time I see it sitting there unused in my collection I'd wish I could just give it to someone else.

132 gems would be much better, I could buy a legendary item and a couple of the lower tier things with that. Or save them up until there's something I want in a future crate.

Unfortunately as other people have said this would defeat the entire point of crates - which is that you have no control over what you get and therefore some people will keep buying more and more crates to get the items they want. No sane person would ever spend $200 to directly purchase a mount in a game, but at least once a month someone is on this forum complaining that they've spent that much or more trying to get one from crates...and then wondering why ZOS does it.

If the crates let you choose the items you get, or let you refund everything you don't want for gems to buy the stuff you do then it's just a complicated direct sale and they may as well just put the items in the crown store. I'd much prefer them to do that, but as long as people keep paying out 10x what they'd spend otherwise (and more) it's never going to happen.

So far I didn't get any Apex Mounts, but if I get one occasionally, most likely I'll refrain from using it. Most of them are too ugly. If I'll have an option to exchange Apex rewards and probably others as well into gems, it would be great.

This won't happen, then you'd have no more impetus to keep wasting money on something you value less than the price you'll end up paying for it; crown crates are for dupes.

Eh, well, I'm not that fond of unused things I have to avoid looking at in my collections, whereas gems will eventually turn into used things that I can love, so I will continue to hope they let us trade unwanted stuff in.

I don't mind trading things I don't want in for a minimal amount of gems. If I would never use them anyway, then why keep them? It might even make crown crates more attractive to me if I knew I wouldn't be saddled with useless things I never wanted.
