I know ALL forms of AP gain involving PvP is absolutely effed six ways to Sundas, my Main can barely even get matches for Battlegrounds, and am damned to an atrociously bad team when I finally do, but for what it is worth, I would still appreciate the annual period of Double AP, to at least try...and hopefully the event could last more than 4 days like that one Midyear Mayhem themed Costume with the Wolf head, because as it is, whereas Experience Points can be doubled for free several times a year, you only get one shot of it with AP...

As per the Crown Store Showcase:

Even if your background isn't Imperial, if you admire history's greatest warriors, you'll want to honor Pelinal Whitestrake with this costume from our Midyear Mayhem, the celebration that commemorates the deeds of the Star-Made Knight.

The Star-Made Wolfshead costume will be available for a limited time on all platforms from July 19 to July 23 at 10am EDT.

So probably July 19 - 23.

That's exactly why I am afraid it will only last 4 days... It's not right, we get several Experience Point boosting events, some of which last about two weeks, but we get just one chance to double our Alliance Point gains a YEAR, and that's only gonna last like half a week, possibly? Ugh...

The new achievements for Midyear Mayhem are up on PC, and I think consoles have the dates. So absent any decision to cancel, yes, there will be a Midyear Mayhem.

Now, whether the state of PVP can handle Midyear Mayhem is another matter...

I'm sure we are having one, and I'm sure it will be longer than 4 days. My only concern is will they load up some new campaigns in advance this year to avoid a repeat of last year.

Hope it doesn't last longer than 4 days. The Cyrodiil problems are already horrendous. Why should regular PvPers have to suffer even longer ques and worse performance? All because a bunch of PvErs who mostly complain about "toxic cancer" everytime they die, want to hoard up ap for whatever weird little reasons they have.

The defensive AP ticks are going to be insane this year. I remember hitting a 70K tick during last year's event. And within the last month I have seen ticks of that size. Imagine 150K+ this year during the event.

There is a 0g Xbox achievement tied to it. "Kill 100 players during Midyear Mayhem" with an end date of Jul 30th, I would guess that it will run from the costume launch through the 30th.

I truly don’t know how it will be possible. Every time I go into PVP and run with a group people freeze mid-fight and are forced to restart the app. Sometimes even the majority of the group freezes. It makes playing properly with a lot of people more or less impossible. I really really do not understand how a big event that encourages MORE people to enter Cyro is still going to happen unless there is a major fix in the next two weeks.

Last year it was from July 22 to 31, so 9 days.
Now it's gonna last for only 4 days?

Guildie got over 200k defence tick shortly after Summerset, so during that event it could be even 400k+
