"Messages Across Tamriel" Quest Bug

Hello,
So I am currently doing the "Messages Across Tamriel" questline.
My current objective is "Enter Vanus Galerion's Portal"
The portal was created but I didn't enter because I wanted to go to my friend first and complete this later.
When I returned to the Mages Guild in Daggerfall I saw the icon on the floor but there was no portal (better explained in the screenshot provided).
I have no way of continuing the main quest because there is no portal.
I've tried restarting, re-entering the guild, etc.
I don't know what do, please help, thank you.

    Is it possible to reset/abandon the quest via your quest log? Also have you tried logging out for 15mins at any point since? (this is a time which reset some of your characters information apparently)

    If not it might be worth posting an in game support ticket to see if they can reset it for you.

    Otherwise others might be able to help you if they know the bug themselves.

    It is the Main Quest, so I am not able to reset/abandon the quest. And what do you mean with logging out for 15 mins. This happened to me 4 days ago (I have logged out for hours).

    The 15min reset won't be possible then (some bugs in quests can be reset by a 15min offline period) as you've you've done that already.

    Support ticket in game is probably your best chance then. If you can't do it in game you can via the support website (button in top left of forums on desktop version).

    Since the main quest line is solo, perhaps it is because you are grouped. Have you tried to drop from the group?

    I met the same issue yesterday too. It seems to be an old bug still not fixed.
    I have sent a support ticket and still wait for reply.
    Hope ZOS can reset my quest.
