"offline mode" leaves you showing online

    Which platform are you on? I'm not experiencing this issue. When I set my status to offline, I disappear from the guild/friend list and I can no longer receive whispers. Are you saying that setting yourself to offline is keeping your character highlighted on the guild and friends lists? Can you still receive whispers?

    It doesn't make you invisible if that is what you were thinking. It works like redspecter said.

    Account names of offline players don't disappear from guild rosters or friend lists. They are just grayed out and have a gray icon on the left side, whereas online players are shown in white font with green/yellow/red icons on the left.

    They do disappear when you "hide offline" as is the default. If you "show offline" then that would be different.

    Bump

    THis is still a problem (PCNA)

    I set myself to "offline" and a min or so later I am "online"

    Sometimes I just want to play and not get messaged, please fix this
