We're in the process of taking the Xbox NA megaserver offline for maintenance (everyone will be logged off from the server soon). We discovered an issue on the backend that would affect some systems like leaderboards, and need to address it today; fortunately it's nothing you would have noticed yet, but we know it's inconvenient for you nonetheless. We anticipate the downtime being a couple hours.

Well, technically the entire sever will be inaccessible within the hour. They already said they won't be fixing anything for the next 3 weeks. Apparently it's too hard for ZoS to invest in Same Day patch cert with Microsoft...

Do you think you can fix the lag and update you servers while it’s down? Everyone complains and you never fix anything...... seems to be money hungry only and your about to lose many players....

Leaderboards are irrelevant when the game isn't operable for 75% of the evening in Cyrodiil. ZoS' priorities are questionable at best.

I'm not certain what they do when they take the system down. I've never really noticed a difference. That's why they should do it on a Tuesday at 3:00AM instead of a Sunday during prime time.

So there’s an issue with leaderboards that hasn’t been a problem yet, but requires that the game come offline immediately, with virtually no notice, on a weekend? Could you give us more information? This explanation does not make sense.

Rumor: ZOS has discovered that the leaderboard members are all tracking for 5000 disconnects in a 7 day period, a figure that would trigger the long forgotten Tamriel Ragnorok prophesy causing our toons to all perish beneath Kate Blanchett’s voice acting.

ZoS logic: Despite the fact that PvP is basically unplayable at this time due to the shiny new freezes we implemented, we're going to take the servers offline on a weekend to fix leader boards nobody cares about, instead of waiting two more days for the regular maintenance window. BRILLIANT!

Who cares about leaderboards when you can’t even play the game!?!? I get kicked from Cyrodiil every 10 minutes and your concern is leaderboards?

Who in hell chose to "fix" the system during Sunday prime time? If I managed a Walmart and closed for maintenance on a Sunday I'd be canned in two minutes!! But what the hell does ZOS care? As long as we keep paying our monthly dues and buying horses I guess all is good with them. I had to work yesterday so today is the only time I can really play the damned game. I don't give two hoots about the GD leader boards.

"Going to be fixed" - good joke. I've never seen ZOS fix anything. They're just moving the bugs and problems to another place.

Y'all are snarking, but if it was worth shutting the servers off for without informing us, it was probably a major error or exploit that got caught before publicity, for once.

The less of those get out the better, huh?
