You know the ones spend alliance points for a weapon or armor of so many set types? Why not something like this for undaunted sets?

Um so you think master and maelstrom weapons come from killing one boss once? Please do not use hyperbole to make points badly.

But so does getting enough AP to buy 50 boxes to open and hope for the best that you get what you want.
Also to note, most PVP / AP items are utter tripe, and not worth buying.
And another thing to note, you do know that you can buy overland set boxes with AP right?
How many more ways would you like to get a 'pve' set? Maybe just hand them out like cookies?
If you want sets from a dungeon, you're gonna have to run that dungeon. That seems like a pretty simple concept.1 -

✭This isn't even a pvp vs pve topic. It's getting undaunted outside of dungeons vs not and the ones that should complain are pvpers.
But as long as the point is to aimlessly attack pvp, I'll add that sloads needs a buff and nerf sorc.2 -

✭As a (mainly) PvEr, I have quite enough junk already. Sets aren't hard to farm and now we have transmute available even the grind for monster sets is easier. I don't earn much AP and I hate throwing it away on a random chance at something. Other than vMA and certain trials, I think PvPers do have a harder time gear-wise. I'd like to see better rewards in PvP, it might encourage me to go to Cyro more often (and not that stupid helmet thing you get in parts either, that's annoying). Having said that, I wouldn't turn down stuff if it was free

In pve you kill mobs that drop loot. In pvp you kill players that don't.
In pve you play content that has rewards based on the type of activity - delve bosses, quests, dolmens, trials, etc. In pvp you do not. Thus the rewards for the worthy. They only drop pvp sets that almost no one uses anyway.
