Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Let's try something a little more light-hearted, just because I'm interested...

    1. Nord two-handed DK. This was a character that I'd created in my first mod for Oblivion, and she's obviously special. DK part was fairly random, and just seemed to fit the rest of the character best. Several of my subsequent characters have been "ported" from earlier TES games.
    2. Joined for a "play free" weekend because friends were already here. Decided to get an ESO Plus and stay.
    3. PC
    4. NA
    5. Played (and made and published mods for) Daggerfall, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I knew I couldn't mod an MMO, but wanted to play it anyway.

    1. My first character was a Breton magplar, I usually play the class with self heals because I like soloing content and playing support in PVE content. This guy went on to get countless Emperor runs, the first character with a star on my faction and even gained a nickname “The Golden Saint”. Went from zerging the first few months to farming zergs in towers, facing 100’s behind my own scroll gate before the removal of azuras Star, breaking keep stairs and doing magplar solo.

    2. Started playing when console first launched, knew I’d get it as soon as it was announced so I had to wait a year for it.

    3. Don’t necessarily have one, console is just more convenient I play other pc games such as league of legends.

    4. Na

    5. Elder Scrolls has been my favorite series next to fallout, mass effect and dragon age. Been playing it since oblivion, always wanted to see what it was like with multiplayer so here I am, for the last 3-4 years.

    1) Bosmer Archer - Cute but deadly, and later I learned from the lore that they're unfortunately very creepy....stilll my favorite though.
    2) May 2014
    3) PC
    4) NA
    5) I loved the Elder Scrolls ever since the first Morrowind. It was one of the first pretty open-world fantasy RPGs where the story wasn't set on rails, and ESO stays true to that philosophy.

I've considered that, yes. The problem is that, at this point, I literally have no income whatsoever. When I start getting it, I'll almost certainly go for ESO Plus. :) At that point, though, it comes down to finding a method to buy ESO Plus, as I don't have a credit card and I can't get one. I wish ZOS would create prepaid game cards like games such as Guild Wars 2, RuneScape, WoW, SWTOR, etc have. That'd make it so much easier for me to buy crowns and ESO Plus and you know what? I guarantee I'd buy both quite regularly just simply because I love this game, love ZOS, and would love to support it.

Have you tried to see if PayPal would work for you as a payment method? That can hook up to a bank account vs a credit card. I know I can use PayPal on my PS4 purchases and my monthly ESO thru the Playstation store.

I haven't tried that but I'm not sure how I can make that work if I don't have a credit card to load money onto my PayPal, sadly.

I started on a free weekend trial the year before One Tamriel was released. My first character was a dark skinned Redguard Sorc with a Xhosa name - because I thought a jack-of-all-trades character would be a good idea - I still play her, but now as a StamSorc with min/max stats, even I rarely ever use those pets - especially not the twilight, it's too annoying. I play on PC EU and will continue to play there, because my german friends are playing on EU - even I am now on the other side of the globe.

I came to TES in a funny way - I had forgotten to buy a present for a friend and had to take something in a rush - game of the year edition sounded good, I had no clue what TES was, but it looked good on the backside of the game package, so I bought it. My friend was not impressed with it and did not want to play it, so I got it back and tried it - and loved it - Morrowind, what an amazing and fascinating RPG in this alien world of Nirn - and I got hooked on Bethesda games since that time.

I think Morrowind was the 'gateway drug' of games for alot of us. ;)
