Deconning banked vs inventory items

Maybe I am stupid: When I decon items I do not see anything that distinguish my inventory items from banked items. I am levelling a new character, and deposits some of the items into the bank for him. When the bank is full, I want to only decon the items still in the main character inventory, but cannot see the difference between inventory and banked items??

✭✭✭✭✭I find it helpful to lock the banked items that I don't want to accidentally decon. Locked items won't show up in the decon menu.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo7 -

if it is in your inventory, the symbol will be a sack.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Always best to lock that which you want to protect, even if you are temporarily protecting it.
You can do this with Locking an item, or offloading to a MuleEnjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

As others have said, there's an icon, but the best course of action is to lock your item you don't want to accidentally decon.
Done it. Many times. Because I forget to lock.
Oh, and one more note: when you lock an item, you can only unlock it from the bank if it's not in your inventory, so when you are ready to decon the item, keep this in mind.

Oh, and one more note: when you lock an item, you can only unlock it from the bank if it's not in your inventory, so when you are ready to decon the item, keep this in mind.

ANGEL_BtVS✭✭✭✭I've asked for it before - I think there should be a toggle when you are crafting to have the menu show only bank items, only on-person items, and both. Would be very helpful.1 -

Interesting. I don't do much improvement, so I'll check on this tonight. If I can unlock to improve, then swap to decon, this will be a tremendously awesome discovery.Haven't tested, but you MAY be able to unlock from the item improvement menu since locked items WILL show up there.
I hate having to run back and forth between station and bank to unlock items for research.
I wish ZoS would give us a punch card or something we can track items we have researched, are researching, and need to research.
Having to keep a list outside the game is ridiculous.

Clansman2013✭✭✭If you are on PC, there is an addon that does this, it has a filter option that lets you hide bank items. I don't remember the name of it, but I'll update once I get home from work.0 -

I just tested this, and yes, you can unlock the item from the Improvement window, where all locked items show up.
