So I’m doing the quest in Camlorn, “A Lingering Hope” and once I enter to find Darien, the place is a war zone with botSorcs and their pets farming werewolves. Why are these bots still a thing and why does ZoS allow these bot farmers to get rich by cheating?

Probably just some people grinding farming drops or something, Most americans aren't used to the black desert online Korean play style of grinding in one spot for 10+ hours. Thank god I quit that game, Though I agree they cant bot on a ps4 and you are right that we can not even use UI mods like the PC so what gives?Helligkeit 13X CP

While I get the sentiment, I feel like this statement lacks consideration for the scope a work-a-round can take. As far as the game is concerned, it can be receiving inputs from a mouse and keyboard, no alien/third party input whatsoever while it is truly being played by a pixel-bot.
Lets say you see a bot-stack that is more intelligent than should be possible as no group of 10+ players could synchronize so perfectly with latency issues included in the equation.
One individual can have a wireless keyboard and mouse providing inputs to 10+computers. This would result in one player controlling a bot-stack with one set of inputs not traceable by the client.
I imagine whoever embraces the single input bot stack would utilize a single machine and hack it to run multiple instances of ESO and link the inputs, but You get the idea.dataOutput ={ }

A level cap to access nodes in a starter zone sounds like a good idea. Level 50 or any active cp and nodes only drop lock picks.1 -

✭Saw my first bot farmers in action the other day on PS4 NA!! They were farming in Auridon southwest of Shattered Grove, west of Mathiisen. About 25-30 pet sorcs farming bears and all of them with user/character names like "saeagredstwb" and "cafagnregke." At first I didn't realize wtf was happening but then I noticed that a third of the time they were firing light attacks into an empty patch of grass. I reported them all. Stuck around for a bit and noticed some (real) people trying to do the quest in the area. Must have been a pain for them.PS4 NA

The most valuable quark in a game of this nature is time. It takes time for a person to grind. One person controlling a bot can grind full inventories of 20 characters simultaneously; thats 20x faster than the normal player who abides fair expectation of play.
One person grinding trashloot for 1 hour the selling inventory to a merchent might equal 1-10k.
One bot group doing the same behavior now nets between 20k-200k in the same time allotted.
I buy exp scrolls because I’m frustrated by the amount of time it takes to level up; bot farmers are offensive to me.
Botfarmers steal money from ZOS; by allowinf players to spend money to buy gold from private sites, the player bypasses the crown store (where they would spend their money on something like a crownscroll) and gets a load of gold, which is only supposed to be available by playing/grinding. The “bots” I encountered in Camlorn had names like that as well. I had to almost blindly try and get my quota of werewolf kills so I could advance my quest and I am not patient enough to make dozens of reports.

I think I made the wrong impression with my post. I'm not advocating for bots. I just think people let it get to their heads too much, which is really the only way it affects you. It really doesn't impact your gameplay.
That being said, I really don't understand why it's so hard for ZOS to ban these people.PS4 NA0 -

Well if they aren’t bots in the traditional sense, they are at least a very large group of players with gibberish names standing in one spot and taking advantage of the quick respawn of the werewolves. The only things moving around are their pets.PS4 Pro NA0 -
Yzalirk✭✭✭✭Yeah, I see bots quite often too. I usually see them in the Alik’r Desert though. I reported a few a couple days back but I severely doubt anything happened to them.
From my experience, they are usually High Elves with a non-customized default look and a weird character “name.” I use the word name loosely here as they are just a mishmash of letters. And they are always together in one of three locations - merchant, banker, or running around farming.0 -
