So I can see in the dark, obviously.
**** NO.
Game already has too much flash and glow. It's honestly pretty unappealing the visual direction ESO is taking.

Get used to it. It's a world of magic and fantasy. Before you say the single player games weren't flashy, really think about that.
Morrowind all enchanted items glowed.
Oblivion DLC for horse armor, some flashy.
Skyrim had Arvak.
This is just one example for each in the last 3 games. Its part of the world and lore. Plus it brings money in so... prepare yourselves for future content.

Still, those which you listed are pretty rare occurrences in the TES world. Not everyone is running around with those magical, enchanted and all glowy-stuff. Calling it "world of magic and fantasy" isn't a free-pass for smashing glowy and flashy effects on everything. Even that world should have limits.
Are we really arguing if ESO should go for the Korean route?

Has nothing to do with that, but if that's how you classify it then you're in for a rude awakening.
Auras are already in game via crown crates. They're momentos currently that only last for a minute or so, but how long do you think before they continue down this path? Look at the mounts. Look at the special weapons with effects. Look at a lot of the spells and abilities already being spammed. Look at the new Psijic Gauntlets. The new monster weapon sets. The list goes on and on.
Point being, they will only continue to release new items with new special effects as long as people continue paying for them. Your worst nightmares could potentially come true in a year or two.
