Bufftracker for Consoles...

...not exist...sadly.

But will there be a small chance we'll get one in the future? I know this question is not new but I thought I bring it again...

It's not that hard to do and most of the ppl on console would prefer this over all other "updates" (ok, framerates is another one...).

I know there's a buff tracker in the base game UI on PC. I assumed that existed on console as well, but as I've said elsewhere, I don't even own ESO for PS4.

We've already got buff trackers, yes. What we need is skill trackers, as the current system only tracks buffs that are either applied to you, or the target. With the current system skills like crippling grasp, poison injection, ele drain, and haunting curse are all able to be tracked, but skills that aren't directly applied to the enemy/yourself or are ground based such as path of darkness, wall of elements, and endless hail aren't tracked at all. So the OP's suggestion is valid, just isn't necessarily worded right . Another big issue with the current system is that the UI is pretty cluttered, and the individual icons/timers are very small and move around a lot, which can make buffs/skills difficult to follow. There currently aren't any ways to properly limit what is and what isn't tracked or adjust the UI in anyway. Yet another issue is with skills like rearming trap that have different buffs and different parts of the skill that last different amounts of time, which makes them unable to be accurately tracked The buff tracker was a big step in the right direction though, so here to hoping we can get an updated version.

No worries, just thought I'd clarify. I too believe that a better skill tracker system is needed =)

we (on consoles) need finer granularity in the buff trackers options.
we need to track handpicked buffs: in the heat of a fight it's almost impossible to find certain symbols that are constantly hopping left and right as buffs appear and run out.

and yes, we need a skill tracking system as well.. just always display both bars (active bar on top / left / whereever) and a timer on skills with a duration.

Thing is its a level playing field so doesnt really matter. If we compare to PC sure they have a load of stuff that makes timing easier, but do we need it? It's all relative.

Personally I'd prefer less clutter. And watch the game (effects) rather than a timer, which makes it very dull

This is 100% correct. We need a system that works something like WoW's skill timer does, having a numerical indicator on a skill counting down till said skill or buff expires would make a huge difference within the game.

We're not just talking about QoL changes here, making the changes suggested here would enable lower level players to increase DPS, healing and tanking ability in harder to cope situations like trials and Vet dungeons without actually making end game players stronger.

Looking how far the game has come I would have thought it would have been added by now.

It's mostly for trials that it'd be useful, where watching skill effects isn't a very easy thing to do. I see your point though about the clutter, and it definitely shouldn't be something that just built into the UI without the option to turn it off/on. The reason I think it's especially necessary though is that it would help a lot of players who have trouble with rotations on console. Of course the best players can make do without them and still achieve similar dps to those on PC, but I'd expect a pretty large amount of players would benefit from them. I honestly think the skill trackers plays a pretty large role in why PC has a larger raiding community. That and other add-ons and better performance.

Well...my DPS is fine but skill trackers will help a lot to improve rotations.
And there is allways something to improve and doing better.

And it would be very helpfull for healers/tanks too, yes...

Trackers do exist on console. I believe you'll find them under the Combat settings, if memory serves.

    You can turn on:
    Damage: in and out
    Healing: in and out
    Pet Damage: in and out
    Food/Drink: countdown timer
    Buffs: countdown timer
    Debuffs you/enemy: countdown timer

Just be sure to turn off the "Permanent" option, or the ESO+ membership icon will show up.

My screen looks like the HUD of an F14 Tomcat.

Yeah...but from DD side nobody needs this in my opinion. I need to track my DoTs in the first and then the rest...and there's no usefull option for this.

A timer on the icons would be simple and nice...for example...
