Daily Quest "Run Aground" can't complete, no credit for kill

I attacked Keelsplitter first, before anyone else, and didn't die fighting it. I only stepped on a snake once or twice(due to avoiding the splash from another player getting too close with the ranged AoE the boss uses.
I did not get credit for the kill towards this quest even though I got loot.
This is very frustrating. I'm going to try one more time, but if it fails again then we need another hotfix because this is similar to the issue we just had that was supposedly fixed.
Edit: my progress for the secondary objective was 2/4, FYI.

✭Update: Got credit with 4/4 secondary objective on second kill without stepping on any snakes.
Still seems buggy for lower secondary objective counts or snakes stepped on.0 -
VoodooPlatypus✭✭✭✭I’ve had this quest bug out on me numerous times. Killed the boss, no credit for it. Just like I wasn’t there. It’s ridiculous. I’m really tired of this particular fight as it’s just kind of tedious.0
