It is very rare I fully replay a DLC in any game, but when one is well done enough to want me to play it again, that's a definite "Thank you" rarely offered to those who spend the time making such content.
In my opinion, Summerset is the best DLC of ESO. The stories were engaging, and I'm looking forward to seeing the racial identifiers used in conversation (my first pass was with a Bosmer NB). Also, this will give me a chance to discover things I may have missed the first time (I'm not afraid to admit I tend to rush first time plays just to get to the end of the stories).
I'm also looking forward to playing with community members again. For the past week, I've seen the side rarely spoken in regard to the community, as everyone was helpful and friendly. People needing help with the world bosses and geysers had droves of supporters within minutes (though, as one myself, it is for personal needs as well - geysers give me tons of leather!).
Well done, ZoS. Everyone definitely deserves recognition for the best DLC in the series.
With that, I'd like to take a moment to discuss a few of the things I enjoyed (in no particular order):
1) Abyssal Geysers - Pure genius to scale the final boss based on the number of players around. I'd love to see this incorporated with dolmens, please.
2) Lauriel's Lament - I don't often read books in the game, but this quest made each one worthy of the read. By the time I reached the (seemingly endless) bottom, my decision had already been made on what to do with Lauriel. The final dialogue I had with her finalized my decision. Very well done quest and that location was awesome. One of the best in the game!
When Lauriel mentioned the descendants of those who wronged her, she sealed her own fate.
3) World boss fights - I died often (one of these days, I'll learn to block - curse that wave of water!!!) but I still enjoyed each and every fight. Still not sure which is my favorite, but I'm leaning toward the Griffins. Those pair were certainly a handful.
4) Night - I wish the nights were longer in this game, because Summerset really shined at night (pun). The gorgeous lighting and colors really set the landscape and it's clear great detail went in to each placement. The neon-esque color saturation of the geysers really made my eyes giggle. Beautiful indeed.
5) Delves - I was very impressed with Sharks Teeth Grotto as a delve in Thieves Guild (even going back over and over never got tired to me), and am very happy to see many more were opened in Summerset. I am definitely appreciative of removing the Skyrim Dungeon Curse from ESO. Let's hope future delves get even bigger!
6) The water - Don't laugh. I honestly believe this is the best water I've ever seen in my decades of playing video games. I've actually just pulled up and just listened to the waves as they come onto land. If I didn't get kicked out, I'd sit on a beach all night while I slept.
My only issue with the game is the "run to the other side of the island/back to Artaeum" quests which got tired real quick. Please try to reduce these for the next DLC, please. I know this is used to make content "bigger than it really is", but it's overused. Good content doesn't depend on time.
Just wanted to express my appreciation for a DLC now pulling my magSorc from retirement just to play it again.
Have a great day!
