Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Let's try something a little more light-hearted, just because I'm interested...

    1. First character would've been a Khajiit NB, AD faction because that's where I thought the friend I was joining was playing. She only made it to level 10, when my friend said he'd switched to EP, so I made a Dunmer DK. The races were because those are my 2 favorite Elder Scrolls races, and the ones I always play. As for the classes, NB is the roguish archetype I absolutely love to play in TES games. For the DK, her spec was all over the place: I wanted to use magic, wear heavy armor, wield a giant sword, and be tanky DPS. Nowhere near meta, but she was pretty darn fun, and good for solo questing.
    2. I played that DK for about 4 or 5 months in early/mid 2015, then quit because the friend I'd gotten the game to play with wasn't playing anymore. I returned to the game in... late February, I believe, of this year. Made a different Khajiit NB and loving her to pieces. Game time is probably just under 9 months all total.
    3. PC. I'm just not a console gamer.
    4. PC/NA only.
    5. My first Elder Scrolls experience was messing around with Daggerfall long ago on the PC of the man who became my husband, but I didn't really go full on fangirl until I played my own copy of Morrowind. While I will still likely prefer single player TES games, I think ESO is a wonderful game and it's great being able to play multiplayer Elder Scrolls.

    1. Breton templar was my first character. She is still my main, although I have lots of alts.

    2. I’ve been here since closed beta in 2013. I did take a break in 2015 for a few months, but otherwise I’ve been around.

    3. I play on a PC.

    4. I’ve spent most of my time on the NA server, but I also have a character on the EU server. For some weird reason, I like the challenge of starting all over with no CP, no gold, and no mats...it’s fun!

    5. I started in Tamriel with the original Morrowind. Later I played Oblivion and Skyrim, but not as much as Morrowind. By then I was into MMOs (especially LOTRO, although I’ve also tried out many others). When I heard that ESO was in the works, I was thrilled since it sounded like the best of both worlds. I haven’t been disappointed.

@jaekobcaed you can just purchase a 3 mo (or more) subscription to ES+, its cheaper than month to month. So, if you got some bonus cash, you could get the benefits of the Plus membership for that long. You wont lose the items in your craft bag/bank if you let the subscription go, you just wont put any more into it, mats just go into your inventory again. Or purchase it one month, and let it go the next, pick it back up the next month. There are other benefits to the Plus, access to all DLC, double bank space, double furnishings, 1500 crowns per month.

    1) Breton Nightblade. Because I've been playing Breton Nightblades in one form or another for almost 15 years at this point. It's kinda the part of TES I know.
    2) The final three stress test beta weekends.
    3) PC
    4) NA
    5) I honestly wasn't looking for another MMO. I'd had some disastrous experiences with TSW the year before. Amusingly, it was a mix of the combat, and when I first got to Stonefalls (on a Dark Elf DK during testing), being reminded of Morrowind.

    Altmer, Templar.
    PC, Beta, 2014.
I’m a fan of MMOs and Elder Scrolls.

I didn’t really enjoy the game before 1T, so I didn’t play much until that came along. The old zone-to-zone progression was too restrictive and felt too “samey” with other themepark MMOs. I’ve been playing pretty consistently since 1T was released because it’s more in line with TES games than MMOs.

    1) My first char after release was a Dunmer Nightblade, got it to level 15-20 or so. I had no idea about anything classwise, so I was hugely disappointed to find out that summons are only a thing to sorcs. As I wanted to keep the name I had to delete him and recreated him as a "mag" sorc. After a few month I turned him into stam, which I still play as my main.

    2) I was in the beta but my rig was too bad to handle the game, so I didn't really took up the game until feb 2016. Playing consistently ever since.

    3) PC, don't even own the consoles.

    4) EU

    5) Probably the same reason most people picked up ESO, because I like the previous TES games. I'm really thankful that steam wasn't a thing when Morrowind was released, so I don't know how many hours I spend on it, way too much.

    1) What was your first character ever in ESO (race, class, etc.) and why?
I made 4 characters together, two MagSorcs, a StamBlade and a StamDK. Each was chosen to match a specific character concept.

    2) How long have you been playing ESO?
    Since Beta.

    3) What is your preferred platform?
    PC forever.

    4) What server do you normally play on?
EU, but I have a set of characters on the NA server too. They get played less.

    5) Why did you take up ESO?
Because I am a longtime TES fan and so is my boyfriend and we could finally play together.

Imperial Templar. Originally hybrid back when softcaps made that viable, now stamina. Not played him in a while though.

      Since the open beta.

      3) What is your preferred platform?

      1) What was your first character ever in ESO (race, class, etc.) and why

Khajiit Sorcerer. I absolutely wanted to play a Khajiit, because that's the race I find to be better looking. And sorcerer, because after looking at all the abilities online, I found that the third bar of overload, and the ability to teleport (streak) were very valuable, like, I would regret not having it. I played every role with it, and both magicka and stamina DD (My current role). I have been playing this character since I started ESO, every second spent on an other character feels like wasted time.

      2) How long have you been playing ESO (it doesn't have to be consistent, just - were you one of the PC beta's or were you a console joiner?)

I joined right at the release of Tamriel Unlimited, March 2015. I should have a little more than 1600 hours on my main at the time of this post.

      3) What is your preferred platform
      PC

I've considered that, yes. The problem is that, at this point, I literally have no income whatsoever. When I start getting it, I'll almost certainly go for ESO Plus. :) At that point, though, it comes down to finding a method to buy ESO Plus, as I don't have a credit card and I can't get one. I wish ZOS would create prepaid game cards like games such as Guild Wars 2, RuneScape, WoW, SWTOR, etc have. That'd make it so much easier for me to buy crowns and ESO Plus and you know what? I guarantee I'd buy both quite regularly just simply because I love this game, love ZOS, and would love to support it.

      1) I first made a khajiit something. I'm not entirely sure why, but she probably doesn't exist anymore. When I picked up ESO for PS4 my first was a breton templar, who I have over 2000 hours on.
      2) Played beta, but never bought because of the sub system. When it dropped for PS4 I bought it day 1.
      3) I'm solely on PS4 but am considering buying on PC
      4) NA
      5) I just wanted more elder scrolls content. When ESO was first announced I avoided it like the plague, until friends insisted I try the beta with them. When beta closed I forgot about it for a good while, until about a month before it launched on console. In that time I've come to really appreciate the lore it has introduced, even if the reason why I came was just for a familiar universe.

      1) What was your first character ever in ESO (race, class, etc.) and why?
imperial nightblade. had no idea what i was doing. didnt enjoy that character at all! later made a nord templar and she has been my main ever since. years later that nightblade got a race change to high elf and i rolled her into a healer and really enjoy playing her!

      2) How long have you been playing ESO (it doesn't have to be consistent, just - were you one of the PC beta's or were you a console joiner?)
i first played on the week of console launch in june 2015. thats when i made that nightblade. i played the game about 2 weeks and just stopped playing until may 2017, 2 weeks before the morrowind dlc came out. thats when i made my nord templar, i wanted a new character and “start over” since it had been 2 years without playing the game.

      3) What is your preferred platform?
ps4 always and forever. until the ps5 anyway.

      4) What server do you normally play on?
      NA because i am american

      5) Why did you take up ESO?
bought an original xbox in 2002 for morrowind
bought an xbox 360 in 2006 for oblivion
then i finally came to my senses and abandoned silly xbox nonsense and bought a ps3 in 2008, got skyrim in 2011.
ESO was announced i wanted to try it and been hooked dince my return last summer

      1) Nord Dragon Knight because I thought it would be a straight forward race/class combination to play. And because I came straight out of Skyrim to play ESO.
      2) Played ESO since it became Tamriel Unlimited B2P.
      3) PC, because I like nice graphics and high performance.
      4) EU, because for me it's half the ping of NA.
      5) Because Skyrim was definitively played-out after a few thousand hours, and suddenly here was ESO:TU, very cheap to buy and subscription free. So, I thought I'd give ESO a try, even though my friends who had been in it at launch all said it was **** and had stopped playing. Here I am 3 years later, thousands of hours into ESO and no sign of running out of fun times any day soon :)

      1) My first char (not counting Beta chars) was a Bosmer NB which I planned to be bow only. I was level 3 and standing on the beach near The Harborage in Auridon and was testing out a couple of skills when I accidentally shot a mudcrab and 3 started attacking me. I died, instantly deleted that char and refused to play a NB again until around 1 year ago.

      2) I have played since Beta; taking a few weeks off here and there.

      3) PC! Built this bad boy myself.

      4) EU. But a friend and I plan to create and level a copy of our mains on the NA server before the next Chapter is released so we get the character copy during beta sooner.

      5) I'm a huge fan of Elder Scrolls and have played since Morrowind. I should mention that I originally hated Morrowind when it came out. I just kept dying and this frustrated me so I stopped playing. About a year later I decided to give it another go and this time it clicked and I was hooked.

      - Dunmer StamBlade & Khajiit StamBlade & Nord StamBlade
      - Dunmer had increased DW xp. Khajiit because cat. Nord because that was my race in Skyrim. (only my Dunmer still exists, and thats a magblade/crafter now)

      3) What is your preferred platform
      - Xbox, have it on PC too but cba grinding atm. Will likely pick that up when I hit max lv on Xbox. For now I just use it for the PTS.

Khajiit sorcerer back during beta, then on pre release.
Fell for Khajiits during Skyrim and was a bit mad that magic in Skyrim was weak.

Started early but took an break after one year and came back 1.5 years ago.
      PC - EU.
Tested eso during beta and liked it a lot.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

      1) What was your first character ever in ESO (race, class, etc.) and why

Breton hybrid nightblade. Breton, because i feel more connected to that race. Been a Breton since Arena. I did start Morrowind (TES3) as Imperial because it was new though but changed later back to Breton.
Nightblade because in every mmo i play a ranger. Since non of the other classes suited me, in my opinion NB was the closest due to stealth and some great skills in the siphoning tree.

Of course, now we have Warden.

Overall i really enjoyed Hybrid but am magicka now.

      2) How long have you been playing ESO (it doesn't have to be consistent, just - were you one of the PC beta's or were you a console joiner?)

Since beta and early access. Played with a few breaks and have been away for 5-6 months at one time. Currently also on a small break since this morning. (until i fnish witcher 3 again)

      3) What is your preferred platform

PC. I do own the game also on PS4 for my son but i don't like playing on a console.

      4) What server do you normally play on

      PC-EU, vivec

      5) Why did you take up ESO?

Large scale PvP, like they advertised. It's more small scale compared to the old days. Also the lag and overall bugs make me take breaks more often.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Female Bosmer Nightblade.. 4 years ago at release (Shes now a Magblade because i hate stam mechanics and obviously magicka classes are vastly superior here)..

Made her just after beta finished but quit about a month in cancelled my subscription because of bots, Game breaking bugs, maintenances were in my prime time and the nightblades were garbage at release.. Came back about a month and a half ago.

      PCNA

Because i fell for the ESO wont be your typical mmorpg it will have amazing stories and pve content it wont be your typical theme park mmo.. Yeah what a crock of crap that marketing was..

At least after 4 years its fleshed out a lot and has gotten somewhat better.. Shame about Crown store and combat mechanics but it is what it is.

      1) What was your first character ever in ESO (race, class, etc.) and why My Altmer Magsorc and username namesake, Anacario Thunderbrewer. Born in mid-beta and still alive and kicking to this day.
      2) How long have you been playing ESO (it doesn't have to be consistent, just - were you one of the PC beta's or were you a console joiner?) Since closed beta in November 2014. Taken a few short hiatuses since, but never really left, and don't plan to.
      3) What is your preferred platform PC master race!
      4) What server do you normally play on Only ever on PC-NA.
      5) Why did you take up ESO? Been a hardcore Elder Scrolls fan for a long time, heard about this game before it went into beta and tracked the news on it with INSANE excitement. Still the most played game in my steam library, not disappointed.
