It takes so long to respond from gamepad mode that I end up ignoring everything. I've done a couple times free for guildies, but mostly I just feel guilty for not helping.
I should be rewarded for performing a service I can only use once per week.

"Instead of taking the best of the dolmens (predictable rotation), the best of the geysers (scalability based on number of players), and the best of the dragons (map location and health indicators) and adding them together to make a fun and dynamic world event scenario, they gave us....... harrowstorms." https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6850523/#Comment_6850523
the first bite took me almost 2 months of trying to find werewolf spawns in bangkorai (ugh, weeks just trying to figure out when there would be a full moon) and, hanging around the werewolf shrine...
subsequent characters went progressively faster...settled on a strategy of getting naked and doing some redguard dancing...
once, I had barely started stripping and someone came along to bite me...
it is kind of fun calling out for others to "bite me"
I've bitten a couple of folks myself over the years...usually though I don't have it slotted...
I don't know about charging folks for bites...I mean 10k or so ain't much coin, and time is money, plus - in order to infect others you have to spend a skill point...
personally though - I don't mind hanging around the shrines for as long as it might take...

Depends, if they ask how much do I need I will simply let them give me whatever they see fit, and if they start with an amount of gold I wouldn't turn down. But normally if someone just asking then i will give it for free
Vampire here. Since people feel entitled to free bites i refuse to bite anyone. I may bite guildies for free on occasion but generally my time is too valuable to give away a service on a skill i spent hours on for free.
I play a game to play, there is no work. Therefor I don't charge for my time. Usually I go out and see who may need a bite once a week.I monitor the NA bite thread and I also help guildies because....WW guild.
I currently have 6 werewolves as I'm trying out all the flavors to see what I enjoy most.
Enough people give it away free that no one has to pay for a bite if they have a little patience. However if you want it then and there, you might have to pay.
I don't personally charge for my bites, but if people want to that's on them. I originally paid for mine, after being scammed twice and waiting around spawn sites for weeks. Some people paid for theirs or spent a lot of time trying to be bitten. It's a service. You want to charge for it go ahead.
I even pay for my bites. When I want to be bitten I offer 5k if no one responds in a timely fashion. If someone does respond before I offer money, I tip them anyway. They're taking time out to come bite me after all.
I rarely remember to bite anyone unless someone in my guild asks, but when I do it's free.
I got my (vampire) bite free and honestly there's so many people willing to do it free and it's so little effort that it's not worth charging for it. Plus I like the idea of players helping each other out like that.
