I HAVE HAD IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually am not one to get angry easily but honestly I have had enough!!!!

I Keep getting disconnected and its NOT ON MY END!!!

I get random disconnects usually around the Peak hours people play this game at, randomly boots me to the start up screen!!! I play the harder Vet Dungeons and this is unacceptable!
Its random, I am talking to people and have Zero issue and all of a sudden (POOF) disconnected. I have been in main battle and kicked, Sometimes My Character Goes invisible and I see a Crosshair in front of me that is never there unless this glitch happens, I can move around using the keys but cant see Myself only the crosshair, I cant interact or anything. Then eventually back to being disconnected. This happens a few times a day, I can't window out for a quick moment to look at something online without getting disconnected!

I have a top of the line computer! There is no issue with my Internet! I play all other MMOs and games just fine with Zero disconnect! I have tried every single scenario that Bethesda keeps spewing to fix the problem! The exact same information btw!!! Make exceptions, open Ports, delete certain folders, repair through launcher etc, NOTHING WORKS!

This post literally comes up all the time in the Forums yet nothing is done, ZEnimax boasted about how this was the first big Megaserver for an MMO, well guess what with that server comes problems, so FIX THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are tons of articles about how bad your server issues are!

I am royally PO at this point! I dont like waiting for a dungeon for an hour to then get kicked from the game, then I get Stuck on a really LONG LOADING SCREEN and it never lets my character into the game!!

WTH IS going on!!!

Dont bother posting bethesda, here ill do it for you --- None of it works!

Long or infinite loading screens can be caused by a few different things from permission issues to add-ons. There are a few troubleshooting steps you can try listed below that can help with getting the game to load.

Remove Add-Ons

To fully remove your add-ons, do the the following in this specific order:

Exit the game
Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live in windows explorer
Rename Addons to Addons.old
Rename SavedVariables to SavedVariables.old
Check in-game to see if the if the issues persist.

Add Anti-virus and firewall exceptions

The application files that may require exceptions are:

Bethesda.net_launcher: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\Launcher
ESO.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso.exe
Steam.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe

For some anti-virus programs you may need to add entire folders as exceptions.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

Repair through launcher

To run a repair through the launcher:

Start The Elder Scrolls Online launcher.
Click on Game Option on top of the News section, and click on the option for Repair.
Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This will take some time.
If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.

Run launcher and game as an administrator

Right-click on the game Launcher and select Properties.
Navigate to the Compatibility tab.
Check the box that says Run as Administrator.
Click Apply and then OK.
Repeat these steps for ESO.exe, located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\Game\Client (by default).

I have been trying solutions since November 2017, I originally left because of issues like this. I do like this game but random disconnects and long loading times are extremely frustratingly ridiculous.

Usual ZOS reply : Did you check your connection ?

This is a true bummer for me. State of the game is getting me to think whether I should move on or not. I like the game but the constant issues + the state of PVP are not helping

Today was my first major issues with loading screens, random latency spikes and dps drops.

Even on a good day I can just feel the lag in the game on a good pc with good internet. I know they are aware of the server issues. Personally I think for them as a company it would even be worthwhile to take the game down for a few days just to fix it.

It sucks because in my personal opinion this really is the best mmo out there but just suffers so bad from bad servers.

Hello there, Yes my internet connection is working very well, While im trying to play Eso my wife is playing Guild wars 2 without any issue. No lag spikes/drops, nothing

I completely agree with you there. Before I came back to this I was Content playing ARK. I know its on Zenimax's end, You'd think with their E3 Boasting of 11 million players - 3 Mil More added since the end of last year they'd put some money into fixing it

I will say login has been wierd since friday. Been gettting error 7:05:315:0

Loged into second account and no issuse at all logging in.

Did linkdeath a few times and had to relog .

Later logged back into first account and was able to log in. Then the second account got same error

SO I am noticing something, If you right click the launcher and go into properties and then the compatibility tab, There is a drop down menu that says ( Run this program in compatibility mode for: ) when you click it it only goes to Windows 8!.... Where is Windows 10? Seems they never updated ESO For the new Windows 10

When you're on Windows 10 you wouldn't need to run an app as though you were in Windows 10.

I've had random disconnects since (I think) the Summerset patch. (Maybe the Dragon Bones patch.) It happened to me only extremely rarely before then. Now it's happening once every couple of days.

Since Dragon Bones there's a server that's really annoying for me. There were disconnects and long load screens. I found out what the server was and blocked it from my firewall. Everything went fine after that.

Same things was happening to me last night. Went invis and Got disconnected 15 times while trying to complete the psyjic order quest line.

Today, I kept getting disconnected from cyrodil with the message cannot connect to game server must have an internet connection to play. I do have an Internet connection. I've got 300 megabits per sec spectrum/time warner cable. Weird because I could connect to the login server just fine so the problem isn't on my end.

I personally have not had any big disconnect problems....I no longer have the Steam version tho.

But I do get dips down into the 30FPS range for no reason(other than server lag)....I maintain about 100-120 ping on 50/15 business fiber.

i7 8700 GTX1080....game is installed on NVME ssd.

I think the clusterfudge that is a "mega"server is really starting to show.....

You need to make sure your monitor is installed in the motherboard. Solves alot of connection problems.

Many of us share your frustration. The problems are spread across all areas of the game. For me it sometimes happens constantly in Cyrodiil. Waiting on some other interesting game, and plodding on a few hours a day in this one until then.

This game is a stepping stone til something better comes. If they fixed the servers, or whatever causes random disconnects/*** performance, this game would be absoloutly awesome..

Cancer, balance, and everything else aside...If good players could play good without lag, disconnects, freezing, bar swap issues, potion issues, skills not working, etc... Then players would be a lot happier.

GW2, WOW, Albion online, Archeage, and a lot of other games work perfectly for me.. Ark, fortnite and cod on console.. They all work on PC and console with minimal (if any) performance issues. This is by far the worst ive ever seen. And its consistently getting worse update after update.

Unsub until they fix it. Try not to play as long as you normally will do. Only options we have. On steam they have a bad rating, on sure its just as bad ratings on console. So thats all we can really do.

I don't have an issues playing in either pvp or pve or all the other people I see playing. I think it's on your end I know for you lot it's hard to admit your own system or connection is at fault but it's funny how many, many other people in the game don't have your issues.

You need to buy you another hard drive you see C Drive before your personal stuff and your D Drive should be your backup for your gaming. And your program files are always going to be overloaded with updates patches even with other games. It wouldn't matter if you quit Elder Scrolls Online and go to another MMO you are going to have the same problem if you keep on having C Drive and not a extra backup Drive for your program files.

Oh and other games on Steam shouldn't be hard for you because you can always uninstall and reinstall them back in to kill the problem.

Very true. Three times I have had issues with disconnects since I started playing the game at launch.

The last two times were not due to Zos with the most recent, this past month, was merely a router reset needed to be done by the service provider. More than just cycling the power.

There are many things it can be.

I can relate, I like the game when I am able to play but my connection has progressively gotten worse and worse. I still play but I find my enjoyment has decreased and time spent online is less and less. Can't decide if I need a break or am just over the game... The payoff is almost not even worth the hassle anymore

When it works, its fun. And people who have played for years know this game CAN run smoothly.

As I already stated its not my Internet, everything else works completely fine. I have tested it time and time again with no issues, only with this game do I find problems.
