So I often times get bored with the same rotations and weapons so like swapping it up. I can do this easy on a few classes. Looking for something possibly on my sorc that isn't running around with a lightning staff spamming lightning all I over the place.
Is there any other magic type build where I can maybe use dual wield for the spell dmg bonus? Something still fun but efficient??
I currently use my lighting staff with lightning splash, surge, wall of elements, impulse and magelight.
Any other suggestions to make it feel kinda fresh when I get bored of the pattern? Prefer no staff as those get boring

Haquor✭✭✭✭✭I wouldnt say dw tbh. You could... run like frags, ll and curse on your frontbar with dw to increase frag procs and damage. And drop your blockade from the backbar destro. You would lose your ability to light attack on fromtbar which would negate your additional damage from dw but would still be different i guess.
But you can definately switch it up to be fire based caster.
Get yourself an asylum inferno for your front bar, run valkyn bsw and willpower jewellery. Force pulse, LL, blockade and curse/frags still your main dmg. Just not lightning hvy/splash damage spam.Edited by Haquor on June 22, 2018 11:08PM0 -
SirMewser✭✭✭✭✭DW on a Sorc was very effective and so was S&B on a PetSorc…
DW no longer increased spell damage as much via second hand and passive.
New(ish) bonus for slotting a destruction staff ability providing 8% single-target/aoe bonus damage based on staff type.
2H counting as 2 pieces so the set bonus gap between two 1Hs is gone.
The buff to light attacks and making them scale with max magic/stamina rather than just spell/weapon power.
Besides a lightning and fire staff, there isn't anything anymore really.
