New item idea. (Map Book).

I would like to be able to have a map book. maybe a crown store item or an item one can buy from the writ vendors.

Your map book would open any maps you have explored in the game.

Would be useful for things like checking where lorebooks are so if a friend wants to go on a hunt you can tell if you needed a group or not.

I find it strange we cannot open maps for areas we have already explored.

What do you mean you cannot open maps for areas you have already explored? I do it all the time.

Open the map window, it will automatically open at your current zone.
Either go out by levels to the Tamriel map and then select the zone you want to look at
Or just go to the locations tab and select the zone directly.

Unless those options are not available with the controller UI...

I mean the dungeon/delve maps. You cannot view these unless you are in them.

Where I thought you were going was: All the treasure maps that we get. The ability to consolidate them and put them into a Map Book. Inventory space saver and you can go get them at your convenience. Could also hold surveys etc.

A treasure /survey map container like the craft bag only available through ESO+. Would definitely give one more bonus reason to sub beyond the craft bag.

@Tyralbin regarding dungeons, I see what you mean now. That could make sense. However, instead of a book..

Delves, public & group dungeons as well as trials could possibly have a right click menu entry added to their respective achievements that could bring up the map for that dungeon / trial. Wouldn't work for overland quest locations but those places probably wouldn't need to be included anyway.

I would rather have the ability to mark my own maps. like place a mark with a short name on the map.
