Destro Staff 'Ancient Knowledge' Passive Change

Has anyone else noticed that ZOS added in a Destruction Staff change into the update without acknowledging it in the patch notes. Ancient Knowledge now REQUIRES you to have an ability slotted- the tool tip now states this. @ZOS_GinaBruno Can we get a confirmation that this was missed in the patch notes? Before it only required "With Destro Staff Equipped" to receive the passive, now it requires equipping an ability too?!?

With Destruction Staff Equipped
Gain bonus effects based on your staff type while you have a Destruction Staff ability slotted:
Flame Staff increases your damage done with single target abilities by 8%.
Lightning Staff increases your damage done with area of effect abilities by 8%.
Frost Staff reduces the cost of blocking by 36% and increases the amount of damage you block by 20%.

✭✭✭✭✭Perhaps a lot of confusion comes because ZOS cannot seem to make a singular direct statement... as in, "With Destruction Staff Equipped AND while a Destruction Staff ability is slotted". If they would state it like that, SIMPLE... no confusion. But it is also confusing because I think a lot of people look at skills online when doing a build and do not read the in-game tool tips- and places like Wiki only state the "With Destruction Staff Equipped" and leave off the "while an ability is slotted" from the description.CP: 2130 ** ESO+ ** ~~ ***** Strictly a solo PvE quester *****

✭definitely skill must be sloted, as well as staff, ofcuz. Ran a few tests with Puncturing Sweep:
- 13-14k stable dps (~20 hits) without skill sloted;
- 15k stable dps with destro skill sloted.0 -

✭On ps4 it only says with destruction staff equipped, looking at it right now and it doesn't say "while you have a destruction staff ability slotted" anywhere unless I'm completely blind.2 -

I can verify, on console it does not have the same tooltip as it does on PC.

It was generally understood very clearly when this change was originally made. Uncertain why you are confused now after all this time.0 -

It should be changed so that it does not, tbh, as it already has the requirement of the weapon type.
Tri-focus does not have this requirement, AK shouldn't either.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS0 -

The passive has worked well as it is, requiring a dStaff skill to be slotted. Comparing it to Tri-focus seems odd since that skill merely affects HA.0
